I think Miller sprays the comics with crack because everytime I pass by that section of the comic isle, I feel this inward desire to grab all of his books and run. I've flipped through one and had a very hard time putting it down. Maybe I'll read them this summer.
Do it, do it! Wait...is this encouragement to read a book, or pressure to fuck somebody? Let's stick with the first one, unless you're into the second one, and then we'll explore that...but it's safer to just stick to the first one for now.
Another good idea is probably to just buy those books and end the conversation here unless you want me to go into a whole list of shit you should be reading comics wise, because I am constantly picking up new shit.

I guess the "buttered-cat paradox" is the new thing for people to talk about...
Heard a conversation at the King library about it...
Move over Flying Spaghetti Monster...

My point here is to say that while you can be proud of where you're from realize there is strength in others. One of the primary rules of combat is to respect the strengths of your oppoenent. And just to back up my people the French resistance has been credited for delaying the panzer fleet which could have made d day end very differently.

I just read the "buttered cat paradox" on Wikipedia. The next time somebody tells me I have far to much time on my hands, I will reffer them to that page.
In other news;
Either I can't add, or my boss can't add, but he called me up after I got home from work last night to discuss why there was a $70 difference between what I added up for sales that day to to take my comission out of and what he added up. Nevermind that I don't keep a copy of the sales register at home, he just wanted to know why there was a difference. This has pretty much put a hamper on my weekend because now I'm worried about having to defend myself against acusations of fraud.
Whoever thought to make the vile black-licorice-flavored-liquer "Jägermeister" should be drug out into the street and shot, ran over by an 18-wheeler, and shot again for good measure. If they are already dead, please direct me to their grave so that I may piss on their grave.
And if I have to play or hear "Greensleeves/What Child is This?" one more time, I will scream.

The thought occured to me that my grandfather would have LOVED the stuff, though. He was the only person I ever knew who actually liked black licorice.
Though it later occured to me that mabey I should look more into the schnappes section of the liquor store. Perhaps a nice glass of coca-cola with a shot each of Vanilla and Cherry schnapps served over crushed ice would be in order... :-D
I'm still tired of hearing Christmas music from last year.
Christmas music doesn't bother me, just that particular song. I've been trying to master it for a few weeks.
Tell your boss to watch his ass because you have connections in Louisiana. I'm sure it was just an accident. Don't worry.
As much as I respect the guy, I'm about tempted to ask him what he's on. Again, why call me at home for something like that? I don't have a copy of the sales register.
I think it's high time I look into a different line of work. Preferably one that doesn't involve the human incarnation of Dilbert's boss.

I've pretty much abandoned TV, with the exception of the occasional time I catch the Daily Show of the Colbert Report, and I don't tend to listen to the radio much, so I've yet to hear a single Christmas song this season. I suggest everyone do the same.
Also, I just added 54 Led Zeppelin songs to my playlist, and I have no idea how I've survived without them. I badly need to start adding music more frequently to it, because I have a list of about 100 artists I've yet to add, and it's absolutely sinful to ignore all that great music.
So I'm basically awesome.

That, and I need to add songs to the artists that I do have, so it's a bit more. Do I detect a hint of sarcasm, or do you have more to add than me?

The sad part about it is that the store I work has been pumping out Christmas music since before halloween. They start it just in the seasonal section, then by the middle of November, it's being played over the intercom.
What makes it worse than the musak they normally play is that Christmas music is, by default, every single band or group essentially singing the same 20 songs. Most mainstream musicians don't go to the effort of writing and/or singing new Christmas songs, because they're only going to get sales from them 1 1/2, maybe 2 months out of the year at most. So you end up with everyone from Nat King Cole to Shania Twain singing the same carols over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over until you want to sharpen up a candy cane and stab an elf with it.
I don't listen to the radio much any more, except when I'm in the car and Neal Boortz is on. And I hardly ever watch TV anymore, with the exception of the Daily Show and Colbert, and even then, sometimes I don't watch them. Heck, I got to where I wasn't even watching NASCAR—this coming from a guy that used to watch and record every single race flag to flag. (I've got about 100 VHS tapes of nothing but NASCAR races).

All I watch on prime time is house, mythbusters and smaleville. Beyond that it's late night comedy. I do listen to the radio when I'm up during the morning show I like but I'm not about to be awak when I don't have to for it.

Another tale of crazy athiest lady at my work.
Somehow, either because God hates me or just pure chance, she got in my line again.
Now this time, I'm no longer a bagger, I'm a cashier now.
So I overhear her talking to one of her friends on how she bitched out the manager of a Dunkins because she heard Hark the Herald Angel Sings on the intercom at the store and felt that her religous freedom was being oppressed.( From what it sounded like, she either dramatically exagerrated what the manager did, or that the Manager was a pussy) because he replaced any Christmas songs that sounded slightly good with Santa Clause crap.
So, she comes to me, and gives me the biggest evil eye glare ever.
I simply do my job without even saying a thing to her.
When she's leaving I giver her the most phoniest goodbye, saying," And have a merry Christmas."
I swear to god she going to get me fired one of these days.

So I've worked out all my holiday weight... in the bud so to speak... Now I don't have to make some dumb New Year resolution because, dang it, I've done all the hardwork in a week, literally...
And dammit,
what do you know?
Mixed nuts... mmm... How could I resist?
I had 5 of each: hazel, walnut, brazil, almond--
How the Hazel tempts me... mmm... Hazel.
For a while I was like justifying, "Eh-- it's a healthy food and all..."
I've been doing weight lifting religiously too for the past few weeks and wow-- my arms are a little stiffer. Not really different in size but it's definetly toning up. I used to drink these HORRIBLE GNC protein shakes before and after work outs... really helps out.
Cheapo stuff...
But my friend Alvis gave me his "Muscle Milk" shakes because he's of the chocolate one and got another flavor... OMG...
The taste is so good. I swear to you, it's like a milk shake.
But this stuff is calorie dense... I've since return to my old crapy tasting but waist friendly GNC stuff because two of Muscle Milk with milk was like 1000 calories. I have to spend hours in the gym to burn that. That's like half of a day's worth of real food.
No... I might as well eat some real... like nuts.

OH YEAH!
Some jerk STOLE my nativity scene, btw >:-(
It was in storage with my uncle's garage, and his wife's brother's friend also had access... It was a NICE nativity scene... I'm sure it has to be him because who would take stuff from storage other than the people with the access.
I'm gonna investigate.
Yes, it was a Latino nativity scene... and I bought it in Mexico in 2000 and I know that jerk stole my nativity!!!! Nothing against the Costco Kirlandland serie's blue eye light skin Jesus nativity scenes...
But think about it...
It's Jesus. Jesús.
Who was poor... and whose parents were Maria and Jose.
That technically makes Jesus... a Mexican... amirte?
*sigh*
It was one of a kind... Made of plaster and wood. Homemade too... from Tepetclaoxtoc not to far from my grandparent's graves....

Yes. He was a jew. Jewish family. He learned from the old testament, which is the Torah, the Jewish holy book.
Yeah, jesus was a jew.
