But not in Kevin Smith roles. Jersey Girl was drastically unappreciated

Yes but Dogma is considered more a "kevin smith movie" where as Jersey Girl is something seperate.

I may visit Paris for free...
Renaud... the friend I've made in Acapulco...

(If you guys remember... a few months ago we had a very innocent fling and my husband found out and he left with his family for how many days I dunno...)

Well,
He's getting married.
My husband is friends with him now and his family in San Carlos (South of San Francisco and north from my San Jose) have tickets they can't cancel. They had problems and they have their refund and also the seats...

"Reno" remembered me and said to his family to give the free ride to me and lo and behold... free tickets to Paris in Janurary 5th... Problem, I have school and stuff... And I need to buy back a trip for two back to the US. still I get to save tons of money.

Although I won't be living in the lap of luxury... Reno lives in the ghetto-ass parts of Paris where the riots used to be. Still--

It's Paris.

The shit you're suggesting is like if they made a movie based off that very small segue about Hector Hall as some duped almost 40's like super hero re-re. Still pissed DC took him out as Dr. Fate, I was digging that.

I read the whole thing except for a couple of pages in that chapter about the keys of hell, and that's exactly my point. Comic book films have slowly been starting to give us hints of the true formula: The shittiness of the film is directly proportional to the awesomeness of the comic. Constantine, V for Vendetta, XLG, anyone?
Chances are that Gaiman will step out of the film production somewhere in the middle and they'll hire that guy who directed that movie about the hip-hop kangaroo and they'll replace the dreams with explosions and the Endless with car chases.
Let's make predictions about the shitty cast:
Morpheus will be Ben Affleck or Clive Owen. Death will be... uh. Rosario Dawson or Jessica Alba. Bad guy with goatee will be James Gandolfini. Danny Trejo will be the token hispanic henchman. Vin Diesel will be Destiny, Rupert Everett will be Desire, Jeanine Garofalo will be Despair, Destruction won't appear in the first film, but they'll make a "subtle" reference about him foreshadowing the sequel, and Delirium will mark the actoral debut of music celebrity Avril Lavigne.

Abandon all hope, you know I'm right.

Actually Rosario Dawson would make a good Death.

That's exactly why they're going to pick her.

In a perfect world, of course, all female roles would be performed by Keira Knightley. Not necessarily because she's the best for the role, mind you, but because she's, like, HOT.

Pffth. If there's one thing that I've learned from romantic indie films is that Vienna is much better than Paris, because when you're in Paris you're like ten years older and you most likely don't even get laid with the French chick.

The endless are manifestations who can be pretty much what they want. Black chick wouldn't be a stretch
Death has been drawn fairly bodacious at time. Have you read her solo books?
Yes she fucking can. Did you see her in an exmaple of the kickass comic make into kick ass movie Sin City?

The mere fact that Sin City was the best comic-book-made-into-movie of the last, like, nine hundred years, doesn't hide the fact that neither Rosario Dawson nor Clive Owen can act.

I think I'll just quote Ron Burgundy and say that she was a "smelly pirate hooker".

The operation seemed pretty clean. Otherwise a pirate hooker would be cool

Gail. I also thought her performance in Clerks 2 was great. Jersey Girl is still a Kevin Smith movie in many many ways man...it's just that there's less friggin swearing, but otherwise I think it's got the same emotional beats, life lessons, and yadda. But they definitely went schmaltzy and the "doing what everybody else does" route with that ending.

The comics are even better...I think Miller puts some kind of crack in there that seeps in through the pores of the fingers as you read...because you finish one and just go "I gotta have another"

Nope, we just sat around drinking, beating our women, and making fun of negroes until all you civilized Yankees came down here with your firey torches and your hordes of illegitimately born irish immigrants and raped and pillaged your way through the countryside for daring to stand up for our constitutional rights.

Hey, blame Sherman, he made sure that them Rev's suffered for thier treason.

Grant was stuck up with Lee.

Sherman was wide open.

Did I mention I hate you guys?

Ditto.
