So last night at like 2AM I was watching the news and I saw that Mark Foley got 48% of votes.

HOW DOES A GUY THAT FOOLS AROUND WITH CHILDREN GET 48% OF VOTES?!

My mind literally went *pop* at that very second.

Oh shi-

I'm reading up on the American election on the CBC site, and this is glorious. With this, a sudden wave of justice shall befall the United States with better government, and the world shall be brought to safety for a little longer. That is, not to say I support the Democrats getting a huge majority, but the fact that both parties actually have to smarten the fuck up and keep it clean means progress and some actual fucking governing. Also, lolRummyresigned.

So I'm basically awesome.

Jus don't move to Michigan, the state still trying to hold onto the title of "Motor Capital of the World", when that's clearly not the case.

Let's you and me find some abandoned Caribbean Island somewhere and start our own country. We can build nuclear weapons behind the UN's back and everything! It'll be fun!!

You didn't hear? The ballots had already been printed when it all came out so his replacement had to run under his name.

Really? That guy has a future in Politics. He should run for president. "John Smith: The guy who kicks so much ass that he can get millions of people to vote for a pedophile."

Even though the PC term is ephebophile.

I just had the most bizzare sale EVER at work this evening.

Two guys came into the shop to look at banjos, both were caucasian and in about their mid 60's. One spoke english, the other some language I had never heard before. They went back and forth talking while I showed them banjos, and ultimatly wound up buying this old tenor banjo that's been in our shop since God only knows when, 2 harmonicas, some strings and picks.

The guy who spoke english told me at one point that his very bohemian looking friend was George Filip, a noted romanian poet from Montreal, Canada, and that they were touring the south seeing the sites. Then he asked me where they could buy smoking pipes in town.

Has anybody here ever heard of this guy? A quick google search turned up some of his writings, but beyond that I can't find much about him.

So I was all set up when the door bell rang so I had to close the browser and put some pants on and run down and answer the damn door. I open up and I see it's one of my wife's friends wanting a ride home. My initial thought was "hey as long as she's here" but fearing castration I quickly dismissed such silliness. So I give the friend a ride home and then realized it was time to pick up my wife from work and said to myself, "so much for that orgasm." Then I got to thinking because and decided to test my luck. When my wife got into the car I told her to agree to have sexual intercourse with me the second we get home or I would kick her ass out of the car and she could walk home. After weighing which action would require more effort on her part, she agreed, much to my surprise. Even more surprising, once we reached the apartment she followed through.

Moral of the Story:

It wasn't votes for Foley, but rather since his name had to remain on the ballot it was a vote for the Republican party. Say Foley had won; he wouldn't have gone to congress. Instead Jeb Bush (Florida's governor) would've appointed another Republican to fill the seat.

My philosophy is that when you do something bad, you pay a price for it depending on the size of the bad thing, and you get rewarded for good as well. I think it's similar to what you see on My Name is Earl. It dosen't always happen immediately, but you certainly see the effects somewhere in the course of your life.

That would also be my answer to BeFell, the wheels of justice grind slowly, even when we're talking about the cosmic kind of justice.

After the pause, waddleing to the fridge to find some pepto.
BUT THERE WAS NO FUCKING PEPTO.
