Now I'm going to have to get a new sig.

...or I could be badass/lazy and not get a new one. Hmmmm. Well, either way, good things can only last so long. It was bound to happen eventually.

So I'm basically awesome.

Whoever did it decided not to post a smartass comment like usual, which means they didn't want to be known.

Like I said, it had to be an admin. Usually liljim does stuff like that, but I think he's too busy to be going around browsing the forum and deleting threads. So, either a mod told an admin about it, or Wade, Tom, Tim, or Liljim did it. *shrug* I agree it's bullshit and there's no excuse for that thread being locked. But I say, don't blame the mods for it until you know the full story, seeing as how it HAD to be an admin to delete it.

Yeah, he's too busy finding reasons not to fix the chat to be bothered with matters like browsing the forums when he has weighty tasks like disallowing blank posts to deal with.

No-- it's still here.

Funk has seen that thread and seemed not to do anything with it.
Shrike has too...
Proteas... I'm pretty sure it's a o k. He's been online when I've seen that thread active.

Now, I'm not going to blame mods... but I have a feeling it's Sarai just because, if I were thinking like her, I would say, "This is not relevent. This is not intelligently written. I must lock. Lock. LOCK!!!"

But you must excuse me. I'm biased, and paranoid.
I can't think positively about her after her brief but very annoying visit to politics.

But I could easily be wrong, but yes--
Why lock it now?

Because they're for fags, that's why. We have a custom made BBS to protect us from the evils of porn spamming bots and as a way of finding people who think a colon is only for pooping.

colon then a space for quotes

That makes a lot of sense, actually. I hated dealing with goatse, tubgirl, and the like in the middle of the night, and I imagine NG is an even bigger target for such things.

I have a new-found respect for this place. They use preventive measures rather than enslavement to keep the forums clean... brilliant.

I give props to the RAP thread on mayor.

Though, it is as true as Funk is skinny.

Yea, I was responsible for that.

I saw a spam thread, (the one titled, "Stupid") and went down the list of mods in order of listing, and Sarai was the only one who had her IM turned on.

Not that I need an allibi, but it wasn't me. I signed off yesterday at 2 p.m. and then didn't get on again until this morning. Threads older than a week can only be locked/deleted by "supermods" (i.e.; admins) like LG said earlier.

Had to be an admin. And no, neither have I locked it nor did I order it locked. I imagine the admin are perfectly capable of recognizing a steaming pile of shit when they see one.

I forgot the main crux of my message: not everything bad that happens on the BBS is Sarai's fault. Most of it can be successfully blamed on George W. Bush.

I think this is what fli was referring to

It will take more than a locked thread to destroy the Ragin Awesome Party, for it lives on in the hearts and minds of patriots, pirates, and lumberjacks alike.

I'm sure it will be unlocked, though

It was relevant to everything society says to bury about manhood. I had just presented some very innovative shotgun designs.
Proper satire is extremly intellectual and needs to be respected as such.
Some people just refuse to see the nobility in well done humor. It's why comedy films don't get the artistic recognition some of them deserve.

Naw--
It's the way how she acts like a bitch towards people... and then erases the posts.

BUT--
I'm not criticizing... just-- thinking aloud, you know...

I know--
However, I would still bet on her just because by the way she acts towards people when there's an disagreement: "Oh, you don't make sense. This conversation is not relevent. You are dumb, and I am a mod and you're not."

But of course, I've already stated that I've got my bias. She does have a way to rub both mod and regular user the wrong way.

but whatever... eh--

though I never posted in Raging Awesom-- I REALLY enjoyed reading it...
