fli, thanks for being my valentine. It was originally going to be a very lonely Valentine's Day.

Well, I'm off to celebrate Duke beating the shit out of us and a half-assed snowstorm by watching A Lot Like Love.

The weather here sucks. Last night, they called for a "light dusting of snow starting at 7 p.m." 4 o'clock in the afternoon, it started snowing and didn't let up until about 10 this morning. As Lewis Black once said...

"Look up the word 'Weatherman' in the dictionary, it means LIAR!"

and then....

"I'd love to have a job as a weatherman, because it's the only job you can be wrong at 100% of the time and not get fired for it!"

Hmm, push-up day went much better today. 500 in 55 minutes. Pacing went way better.

I still think I can get that time down significantly though.

Really? I had stomach cramps all last night until about 4 am and then had alternating diarrhea and vomiting, culminating in me shitting myself in my sleep.

On the bright side, I've lost at least 40 pounds since last june.

Apparently I'm on the Montezuma diet plan right now. And here I thought the key was at least 40 minutes of aerobic work outs each weekday. No wonder I'm so fat. We'll find out the results when I weigh myself on monday.

Yeah, on the other hand, you might be losing a lot of water weight, which is bad.

I might recommend lifting some weights and doing aerobic exercise, jogging or whatever. The weight lifting will build muscle mass, which burns calories without even doing anything, and it'll make regular exercise more effective.

I did a small amount of weight lifting this week, but not too much. I used to only lift weights, but all that did was help me gain more weight. Meh, weight lifting works better when combined with aerobic excercize. I got in really good shape really fast when I did both for football. I still sucked, though.

Oh right, also, I don't know what your general diet consists of, but you may want to look into that.

I personally eat a lot of grains/fruits/vegetables, and I do eat some red meat, but mainly poultry and fish.

Tortillas, lots and lots of tortillas.

I've been trying to eat at least a head of lettuce a week, as well as lots of green beans and sweet peas. I tend to either cook up some cubed chicken breast with lots of spice with for some quick wraps with cheese and lettuce, or make one of my famous everything-rice dishes, normally with tilapia and sweet peas. For snacks I normally eat a bagel or a fried egg sandwich. I also normally have a bagel for breakfast, and a bag of popcorn for lunch.

What I USED to eat was buffalo wings. And booze. Every goddamn day. For about a year. The booze tended to make the buffalo wings seem like a better idea healthwise.

Hopefully no school.

LOLGERMAN. Sorry, just had to get that out of the way. Could be worse, you could be mormon. Gerhard Schroeder shares a lot of my political views, BTW.

You guys still have that techno-music/anarchy party?

Depends. Does the solution consist of grain alcohol and sucrose in an aquaeous solution? Because in that case I'd want to be the person drinking the solution.

Fli, I've been meaning to ask, how do you know Old English? I'm taking an Old English class now for my minor. When I saw you post a few pages back, I was surprised you knew it so well.

I'm still learning it. I have an awful lot to learn, but I can understand some of the words now.

Old English? I take it that you are not talking about the cider.

I'm curious, how does Old English compare to "new" English?

Shit, and I thought Shakespeare was confusing... *shakes head*

Yea, it's a good thing I bought some weights awhile back, now I can just stay in my room and work out instead of having to walk across campus to the gym. Even if my room's half the size of the regular rooms. Seriously, I have a foot of walking space between my bed and the sink. That better have been the last time they move me into another room, that's the third room I've been in this year.

Oh, and internet at the school sucks, or maybe its just my laptop. It detects the connection through the ethernet cable, but it's like it can't even get online.
