I misread nothing. The act of writing that paper behind the purpose of a punishment is to make him see some bullshit connection that weighs his mind against using the word. No way in hell would they accept a paper that said there wasen't any big deal. It would not be an open sided story, it could only end one way and it's designed for a purpose. That makes it propaganda.
Keep telling yourself that. A paper assignment that denotes propaganda is one that is used for indoctrination. Researching the history of words and their power does not indoctrinate a student to believe that the use of those words are bad. And if they used it solely for that purpose, it would be an inefficient form of propaganda. It would be better to use an outside stimulus such as a video or lecture in order to persuade someone to agree with your point of view. A paper is easy to bullshit. In fact, saying that it's a form of propaganda, then, would imply that all papers that a student must write in highschool are propaganda because it's stimply a regurgitation of what the student thinks the teacher wants to hear. And if that's the case, then I guess you failed out of highschool because you simply refused to give into the indoctrination of the school system. Of course, you know, sometimes, teachers actually give a shit about their students using common sense and thought instead of just repeating what they want to hear. Yet, if that had been the case, I'm sure Fabulous wouldn't have gotten an A on the paper and the test, because he wouldn't simply be regurgitating the teacher's thoughts. I like to call it mental masturbation.
