Good lord. So I decided to see what the Ultimate Warrior has been up to these days, and what do I find...
"Writings about discovering my love for America and American History. Writings about my self-learning journey with The Great Books of the Western World (the writings by mankind's greatest original seekers of knowledge). Writings about my unusual exposure to the philosophies other adults hold, philosophies that are anti-life, anti-American, dependent and pathetic -- literally subhuman. Writings about other wrestling talent who have died while bent over their dirty little bags of street drugs, cowered to their filthy refusal to grow up and become real men. Writings that refuse to cut anyone any slack at any time when it comes to the inescapable fact that there is an undeniable responsibility that comes with the inalienable right. And writings about that there is an irrefutable line between what is right and wrong, good and evil, true and false -- and how the tolerated blurring of those lines has spawned the gravest dangers we face today in our society -- Political Correctness and Moral Relativity."

Wow...
I know the stuff I write on NG isn't up to grammar nazi standard, and I've shown reckless spelling-- but...
I'm totally using that paragraph for my lesson plan as an excercise on how to denominalize.

What's to be offended? How does Plato's allegory of the Cave apply here? I think he's correct, things in this world are as simple as right and wrong. If you'd like, you can make a post about it for discussion.

Allegory of the Cave views "reality" (I can't find the appropriate word.. truth, the world, etc.) relatively.
What is truth? What is beauty? What is true knowlege? The stuff we know isn't truth.
This type of philosophy is of course a dangerous concept to some people who belive in setting prototypes and discourage relativity...
Relgious right is one group. Why? Well, they mostly believe that abortion is murder, and that fetuses are people. But the type of thinking in Allegory of the Cave, it challenges that type of thought. "Moral relativitiy" is what it's called...

For the record, Brokeback Mountain is a gay movie. Even though I've never seen it, nor do I ever intend to see it. IT'S ABOUT GAY COWBOYS. "to Wong Foo" was gay movie, "The Birdcage" was a gay movie, and this is a gay movie. Now, I have watched and liked the other two movies, but you see, Brokeback Mountain is not a comedy. Watching two guys catch the shaft (both from each other and society) with no comedic impact makes no sense to me.
I just hate movies that have no upside. If I needed negativity, I'd go visit family.

I'm not quite sure that's what Plato had in mind...I think he was remembering the trial of Socrates. In the allegory, there is still a truth, it's just people aren't seeing it because their backs are turned to it, partially because it of oppression and partially because they have accepted the black wall as truth. Moral relativity implies that there is no truth whatsoever: that morality for example is only cultural and not defined by God.
Then again, I guess that's why they call it an allegory.

Do you have any idea how powerful that thread would be if you made it? All you have to do is admit you're a girl and say you like way IcyHot feels when you're with a guy (and of course, don't mention any boyfriends).
You'll almost be able to hear the screams from your computer desk.

Lolz, warrior is crazy.
His lawyer was threatening to sue them for a while. Then he threatened to beat up Lowtax and phoned his dad a couple of times because he couldn't find Lowtax's number.
Then he gave up after a while. It was pretty stupid.

I recently ascended and got dropped back down to level 1, you've got to be level 7 to form a clan. I have a vanity clan right now that you're free to join. It'll give you 500 meat and 3 adventures per day extra for free. Once one of us gets up to level 7 we can work on making a dedicated NG politics clan.

You're a good man, Proteas. I have forged screen shots for my three thousandth post, as well.
Can't remember who made it for me, though.
I love John Stossel. I would sex him up so hard.
He dubunks all those bullshit myths that everyone (especially people who claim to be 'debaters of politics) spout off.

DDT is effective at preventing malaria.
We're not running out of room to put garbage.
Gun control doesn't decrease crime.
And I want to marry John Stossel.

My brother has been waking me up at 5am in order to spend approx. 16 hours in the computer playing a game named "Puzzle Pirates". Y'see, it's named "Puzzle Pirates" because it has both Puzzles and Pirates.
I wish he was addicted to crack. At least that way he wouldn't wake me up at 5am.

I really only know about the Navy, and in the Navy it takes a really long time to get the sign on bonus depending on what schools you get.
