I know what you mean.
I don't grow zucchini (aha, that's the correct spelling...) cause I know I will get some, and then extra.
Those tomatoes are nice looking. Are they Romas? I've played around with Heirlooms and Grape tomatoes. Also, had an interesting potato/tomato hybrid at my old house. Tiny potatos, and cherry tomatos, all edible. All on the same plant.
The cross came from Amish Paste and Roman Candle. Both are paste tomatoes that are good for salsas and sauces. (We have no use for those big beefsteak varities in this family. No one likes eating raw tomato...)
You are more than welcomed to have a few seeds Maus. All of them will be hybrids, but if you carefully select them, you could develope a strain that will not only be one of a kind, but to your liking.
Heirlooms are nice. I can't really understand this huge obsession for the Brandywine, but then again, I don't like raw tomato.
The rose is gorgeous. I don't have the patience to deal with roses, so kudos. :)
Yeah thanks.
It's a seedling of Queen Elizabeth and a hybrid from the American species rose R. carolina.
I'm a big show off... here's another seedling...
Another one of my modern rose X species cross.
This one is a seedling of Abraham Darby X a R. rugosa hybrid...
Unlike most crosses, this one has quite a bit of yellow in it. And it's bi-color.

We use to grow huge pumpkins for the fair... Had to weigh them on cow scales... Won a bunch of times too.. Good times.

I demand Fli ship me some habanero peppers. I didn't get to plant any this year, and I miss them. The soil around my house is really good for peppers, too. They'll yeild right up until the frost kills them, which is pretty damn impressive.
Tennessee is really onion country though. In Tennessee, if you have a good eye, you can see the sharp, round, straight, onion leaf stalks outgrowing the bermuda and sweet grass. Apparently the bulb's give them an added advantage when there's not so much light. Anyways, on a wet day you can walk onto any random lawn and pull up tons of tiny little wild pearl onions, and pick all the greens you can boil up and eat. I haven't done it in a while (Professionally grown onions are still better).
BTW, the reason why "hicks" stereotypically chew a stalk of grass is because of sweet grass. Sweet grass really is sweet, and tastes just a bit less sharp than clover.

I fail to find it humorous. And it's not because I'm some oversensitive, hyper-politically-correct prick.
It's just not funny. Any moron with too much time on their hands could make a sig like that.
Do it to rile people up, or to garner a fanclub, or to create some sort of "bad ass" image (on the internet!). But don't say it's comedic or funny.

Yeah-- I don't grow habanero.
That stuff is too painful to even think on it...
I only use one or two to kick up the heat in food.
I'm growing De Arbol right now.
And I'm growing a special variety of chily call Apple. It's its own genus of peppers. The flowers are blue, the stems are fuzzy, and it's as hot as habanero, but much more palletable. (meaning, it's sweet and tangy).
Unlike the stuff you'll find in the states (cause this one was found in the Andes).
My grandfather gave me the seeds this year before he died. So it's special for me...

Onion is good. Although I thought Washington was the place for it. But talking about delicious stinking plants, Gilroy has some awesome garlic. They make everything out of it. I bought pickled garlic, and it's actually pretty good. You just the whole clove, or put it on your burger, or anything like that...
I've always wondered what the heck farmers and cowboys were chewing. Grass? Dang, I thought that they were crewing on wheat. There's a lot of wheat growing around here. The stray cats love to eat it. So one day I concluded that that's what 'the stereotype' was chewing.

A joke I read on another forum some time ago, translated from finnish:
UN did an international survey, which also included the following question:
"Please give your honest oppinion how we could reach a solution to the lack of food in other countries"
In Africa, no-one knew what is "food".
In east Europe no-one knew what's "honest".
In west Europe no-one knew what is "lack".
In China no-one knew what is an "oppinion".
In the middle east no-one understood the consept of "solution".
In south america they didn't know what meant "please".
In USA no-one knew what meant "other countries"

I had my fun, and that's all that matters.
Also, uploading a picture just for the purpose of being able to use the roll eyes smiley? I make notice of that with uncertain emotion regarding this action!

You should have said something sooner... I had habeneros last year (I think). Though somewhere around here I've still got a jar of canned whole jalepeno peppers from a few years back if you want them. I'm not touching those fuckers.
The local rock station is holding a remix compotition. If you can remix NIN's "Only," and do a good job of it, you can win backstage passes and one-on-one time with Trent Reznor after the show when they come to Nashville on Halloween Night. Clicky.
I may be looking for a new church before the evening is through... as well as slashing someone's tires. The pastor of our Church finally heard what's-what from my dad last night in an hour and a half long ass-chewing about his attitude towards the church members and it doesn't seem to have affected him any. Blegh.

Me and HateStatement were discussing it the other day... to have the technical ability to do a remix and do it well enough to win, Reznor may just offer you job working with him. Which would be really fucking cool in my opinion.
But alas... I'm not a dj, I don't have a rig, or the tools neccesary to do a remix. ;-(

Not really. There just aren't enough people on NG who'd rather be somewhere else playing chess. I don't have a steady internet connection at the moment, so I'd have restricted playing times.

Make sure you get something that you really, really, really like and want.
And most important, think about placement.
You know your body. And your genetics.. You know your living habbits.
If you gain weight easily, or you pack on muscle, or just whatever that makes your skin change-- your tattoo will get ruined.
I can't understand women who tattoo their stomachs when they're all young and sexylicious, but after the pregnancy and extra weight... eww...
I figured that my upper back was the only safe place I could get my 'XXX' tattoo. (It's fire, but it looks like triple X... Cause I'm hardcore) NOT...
But that's how I see it. I can see doctors slicing me up behind there. I don't think the skin will expand or shrink significantly to ruin it. And I don't have to see it if I don't want to... When I'm back at work again, they won't even know. (Which is pretty important).
But hey,
Piercings are great. If you get tired of them, just take it out and you're back to normal. Even if people stretched out there ears for years will eventually shrink back to normal size.

I talk from experiance.
It's a second of pain, and then none what so ever.
Peeing hurted, but it helped the wound heal faster (pee is sterile, and constantly flushes out the wound.)
How to describe the pain.

Sudden sharpness. Then nothing at al...
