I have to admit, a lot of times girls are really illogical like that. They think for some reason you can read their mind and because you said you liked them, it means you'll always be pining for them and they can make you wait for however long until they make up their minds. And, of course, if you move on, it's some great betrayal because you're supposed to like them and only them forever! Of course, I've noticed that the more stereotypical girly girls usually live in the midwest. No idea why this is, but they seem to have a disproportionate ratio of stupid fucking girls. Anyway, chicks like that piss me off. They're the reason men hate women, and they set a very bad impression for when someone not completely fucking insane comes along. And, of course, men who've only experienced this type of stupid whore, think that I'm going to be like that. Seriously, not all black people eat fried chicken, not all mexicans mow lawns, not all gays have an effeminate lisp, and not all women are fucking insane.

For eggs. We don't torture them by starving and keeping them in small battery cages, nor do we have to pay a premium at a store for such humane care.
Oh, and they're my mothers. And I've been eating milk products again for months now, dropping me back to plain ol' vegetarian. That much farther from nirvana. *SIGH*

I think I'm going to have to order my MINI straight from the factory. The dealer is primarily a BMW dealer afterall, and their selection is limited. ATM, I want a black Cooper S with white top and bonnet stripes. Sport package, limited slip differential, and the optional onboard computer / cluster gauge. I'm back and forth on the driving lights. Should be about $24k-25k. With a few additional grand in mods the thing should just scream. Going to be going to track days next summer. =]

Really? TI-8(something)'s?
I wrote a program on the TI graphing calcs at my highschool. Pretty neat. It ran like the basic equation input prompt. You know...
6*9= [enter]
42
which is all that our school used them for in the non-ap classes, anyway. So, you'd use this sweet graphing calculator to do simple arithmetic, right? Well, my program emulated that, then after x amount of problems, it did this matrix-like thing where it replaced random spaces on the screen with random numbers, indefinitely.
And that's what I learned in Geometry. Not anything remotely related to math or angles, just how to write a trojan in TI's version of BASIC.
</reminiscing>

Hybrids are coming full swing in the next few years. Won't only be little Toyotas or Hondas. However, these damn MINIs get mid-30s, and with some of the performance chips out there you can start hoping for maybe hitting 40mpg.
My single real guilty pleasure is driving man. I'd never be satisfied with a hybrid. Plus, I have this unwarranted fear about the technology. Replacing one of those batteries? Huge $$$ I bet. There are whispers about the Prius suddenly shutting down at certain points. *shudder* I already have one of those cars.

Hah! Nice work. And Ilike the touch of humility, too. But one thing... you aren't a fluke. The Mac marketshare is growing. Just offhand, I know 3 people who have switched this year. Just this year.

Ahh.. performance chip. I see your game. Fair enough. =]

I've driven a few, and I have to say, the Civic hybrid isn't too shabby as far as performance goes. It's not ... y'know, awesome, but it's decent.
Plus, I have this unwarranted fear about the technology. Replacing one of those batteries? Huge $$$ I bet. There are whispers about the Prius suddenly shutting down at certain points. *shudder* I already have one of those cars.
heh. I read about that, too. Apparently it was the gasoline engine shutting down, not the electric system. If that had happened just once, Prius's wouldn't be selling right now. Probably under court order.
Me, I'm hoping BMW has a hybrid when I get back in the market. I've always had a soft spot for BMWs. My first car was an '86 528e. Metallic grey, tan leather interior. Sunroof... man... I miss that car.

Ok...so I just got an email...and I have no idea what it's all about. I don't know what the fuck the 'multi-author section' is. I've never heard of that, and I certainly can't find it. Someone help me out.
" Hi, _FLAGG!
Unit-X has just entered you as a buddy in the
Newgrounds Multi-Author management section.
Please log into your Grounds Gold account after visiting
http://www.newgrounds.com/
and go into the Multi-Author section.
If you would like to block this user from adding you to his/her list, you
can do so from there. If you would like to approve this user
you can do so from there. If you take no further action,
you will be removed from Unit-X's pending list. This will not
prevent the user from attempting to add you to their list again, unless
you explicitly set your Portal preferences in your personal profile to "Going
Solo"."
What the fuck? I've never, ever gotten an email like this before. And, maybe I'm just completely and totally stupid...but I can't find a 'going solo' preferance in my personal profile. Is there some NG menu that I've been missing, for years?
I swear by my life - and my love of it - that I will never live my life for the sake of another man, or ask another man to live his for mine.

While I can respect the need for power let's just face facts and admit none of us are going to have to race vin diesal any time soon.
My first car was a burgendy 87 monte carlo. Big, powerful, supprisingly good on the gas for something its size. There's nothing like your first is there?

My first vehicle was a '91 Buick LeSabre, with 195k miles at purchase. Bought it from an old fart down the road who had kept it in great condition. I'd ran it for another 35,000 miles before unceremoniously totalling it at a four-way stop. Fucking minivan driver didn't know what a "stop" sign was.

I've been awake since 10:00 am yesterday morning. I'm coughing, I'm hurting, I feel worse than crap. So I tried to call in sick to work just a few minutes ago for my shift later on in the day.
I have to come on in.
"Why can't you come in?"
"I've been up since yesterday morning and I don't feel well"
"Do you have somebody to cover for you?"
What, I'm supposed to do scheduling off of company time? What was I supposed to do, tell people last week that I was planning on being sick Monday and Tuesday, and to have their people call my people?
So here I am, going on 20 hours with no sleep, to be 36 hours by the end of my shift. Bunch of slave drivers.

And yeah, your peeps are slave drivers. If a boss did that to me (since my jobs always matter little to me, its not like I NEED the money. Just nice to save it up for college and stuff) I would just quit.

Good - so go in and "Talk" to every Management body you can. Spend as much time in close proximity - coughing, hacking, wiping your nose and shaking their hands as often as possible.
"Do you have somebody to cover for you?"
Not really an unreasonable request if posted in the Employees Manual and discussed at the time of hire. Just means they must also supply a list of contacts and a little telephone work. Either the Resource/Scheduling Manager does it, or you do. Helps if you have a buddy or 2 to trade the occasional shift with.. but not always necessary.

Ahhh, blissful sleep deprived hallucinations. Take Public Transit so you don't have to drive. Load up on Codeine-based pain relief if the fever is giving you trouble and walk with your feet about shoulder-width apart for balance (as if you made the mistake of actually driving to the pub and now find yourself having to walk home). I'd also recommend bringing along your favourite MP3s or CDs on walkman to heighten the viral induced "isolation milieu".
Sickness can be your friend. Feel free to share to all who ask for it.
