Aw! But what about cooking it in beer. God that makes some gooood sausage.

However, I still say that the holy grail of grilled meats is a steak. Also, cooking steak any more than medium rare is kind of a waste, don't you think?

Damn straight!

No I haven't.
My last review, in months in fact. And it was for the TalCon and Maus flash. I said, something like this. "It's not nice to make fun of good NG'ers. I will report this to Wade."

And then, I emailed Wade.
If that guy got me in trouble for that review...

You cry to Bitter-Sweet Symphony? That's... sad. As in, you're a sad person, not as in, that song is sad.

Just... why? The song's quite cheery, actually.

I'm not sure if I got the same song as Maus (I downloaded the Sinead o'Conner version as that's what came up when I googled the lyrics), because I don't quite see what's so sad about it. :-\ But then no songs have ever made me cry.

The saddest song I think I've ever heard would be Motorhead's 1916:

16 years old when I went to war,
To fight for a land fit for heroes,
God on my side, and a gun in my hand,
Chasing my days down to zero,
And I marched and I fought and I bled and I died,
And I never did get any older,
But I knew at the time that a year in the line,
Was a long enough life for a soldier,

We all volunteered, and we wrote down our names,
And we added two years to our ages,
Eager for life and ahead of the game,
Ready for history´s pages,
And we brawled and we fought and we whored ´til we stood,
Ten thousand shoulder to shoulder.
A thirst for the Hun, we were food for the gun,
And that´s what you are when you´re soldiers,

I heard my friend cry, and he sank to his knees,
Coughing blood as he screamed for his mother,
And I fell by his side, and that´s how we died,
Clinging like kids to each other,
And I lay in the mud and the guts and the blood,
And I wept as his body grew colder,
And I called for my mother and she never came,
Though it wasn´t my fault and I wasn´t to blame,
The day not half over and ten thousand slain,
And now there´s nobody remembers our names,
And that´s how it is for a soldier.

The thing about that song is that it can make you cry or laugh, depending what sort of mood you're in at the time.

"Try to make ends meet
You're a slave to money then you die"

cheery?

"But I'm a million different people
from one day to the next"

The whole songs about finding an identity.

This is a song that i feel quite proud of. It's also a little sad but very honorable. YOu should understand it.

At a cottage door one wintry night
As the snow lay on the ground
Stood a youthful Irish soldier boy
for the mountains he was bound.
His mother stood beside him and said
"You'll win my boy, don't fear."
And with loving arms around his waste
She tied his bandoleer.

"Goodbye, God bless you mother dear,
I hope your heart won't pain.
But pray to God your soldier boy,
Your son you'll see again.
And when I'm out on the firing line
It will be a source of joy
To know that you're the mother proud
Of an Irish soldier boy".

When the fighting it was over
And the flag of truce was raised
The leaders ordered the firing to cease
All Ireland stood amazed.
Some men came up to the cottage door
With a note from her pride and joy
Containing news in sad detail
Of her Irish soldier boy.

"Goodbye, God bless you mother dear
I'm dying a death so grand.
>From wounds received in fighting
Trying to free my native land.
And when we meet in heaven above
In the land beyond the sky
You'll always be in the company
Of your Irish soldier boy."

Since posting songs is what we're doing here I give you this stafffighter origonal. I would like to thank freakapotimus for the night on radiogrounds that inspired this

College Rock, the song

Oh, I just got my first taste of independence
Except for the money that still comes from mom and dad.
Want some music that goes with my stance.
No one understands me. I’m so uniquely sad.

Now I have my college rock.
Guys not good enough for a real label
I’m so very college rock
I think every road trip is a fable

I have odd colored hair and maybe a piercing.
I’m going to regret the trendy tattoo before 30.
Only like 12 people have heard of this independent CD.
It’s unpopular, so it must be deep just like MEEEEEE.

Now I’ve got my college rock.
Listen to my monotone.
I’m so very college rock.
Petty concerns and I love to drone.

Listen to my voice, it’s eastern
Or a clichéd part of California.
I know how to change the world from my sheltered view.
I might have a girl where I party then say sorry
I have an acoustic guitar and poor production value.

Bowling for Soup is just so mainstream.
I listen to Weezer sometimes,
BUT. NEVER. THE. SINGLES.

Now I have my college rock
I could have spent this time getting drunk or laid
I’ve so very college rock
Listen to this predictable guitar rift and fade

Oh, now I have my college rock
Noncommittal weird but I still don’t know my way back
Yes I’m so very college rock
If they make another American Pie I could get on the soundtrack

I have nothing against people who can use pot and lead a productive life. It's these sanctimonius hippies that make me wish I was a riot cop in the 60's
