I really hate to bring up personal family history, but he was featured in the Oprah's Book Club book, "Hope Meadows," about a community of foster parents located on Rantoul Airbase, in Rantoul, Illinois. Each chapter is dedicated to the lifestory of the foster parents there who helped start the community, and his chapter (chapter 9) is 98% pure grade A bullshit. All he got right was his name, and how many kids he had.

Right, I guess we're not going to see eye to eye on this.

I guess here in Canada the attitude is generally more relaxed because people are willing to make the trade of people walking through their property in exchange for being to walk through the property of others on the way somewhere, or during a hike or whatever.

I think the reason for that might be that there's a shitload of skiiers, hikers, and snowshoers in the country.

I'd like to point out though that we generally go around areas with no trespassing signs posted, but it kind of makes the property owner look like a bit of a hardass. Being that anti-social is kind of frowned upon, so I guess it's really just a society difference.

The other thing I wanted to say is that I can understand your desire to have people off your property, especially with what happened to Flagg's house. I'm just saying that shooting at them without warning is a bit fucking extreme. You should check your state laws before you do that, because I know here you're required to request that the person leaves your property before using force. And considering his property was what, two hectares? They'll probably just say "ok" and leave through the opposite end of the property from where they entered.

Heritage affects our features, but not necessarily who we are. That's more a reflection of the way we were brought up (and thus the way our parents were brought up) and the culture we're immersed in. People like to blame their parents (and ancestors) for their flaws, but I think most people need to blame themselves first.

I'm 1/2 French Canadian, 1/4 English Canadian, and the rest is a mix of Scottish and Irish (family tree is so complicated I won't even bother calculating). I don't have a bad temper, I don't drink that much, and I don't want to separate from Canada. I've put my heritage to shame...

I think heritage does affect us. I have the two most drunken cultures running through my viens and suprisingly i like to drink.
