My Safari has tabbed browsing. 1.0.3. It's ancient, but works like a dream. Just go to apple.com and get the latest one.

Tabbed browsing was just disabled, I discovered two seconds ago. Hm. Maybe I will still with Safari. What do you and Shrike use for a main browser? Firefox is nearly done downloading, so I'll see about it. I dislike how in Safari, new tabs that are loading steal the focus from loaded tabs, but perhaps that's a system wide annoyance.. See if it happens in Firefox. Time to rebuild ye old bookmark list. I could probably transfer them, or do something much easier. But this way, I remember only the links that I need, and leave behind all of the little curiosities and FYI useful info that I bookmarked along the way.
New computers are thereuputic. I mean. When they set up easily and work well.

I use Safari for regular old browsing, FF for mail and other related items, Mozilla's chatzilla feature for IRC chat.
One thing I adore about Macs is the Log In Items. It starts up all three browsers, the Classic environment, and Photoshop. I log in, go get a cuppa, come back, and my mail is waiting!

Wait, you didn't get the email? The internet DOES revolve around you. Well, you, people like you, and your constant quest for free hardcore porn videos.

Nnnope. Not here, at least. Damn Argentinians, where's our gas?! :(
Also, I don't like this 'lidov' guy.
Also, today, like, I totally ate a ham sandwich.
Also, I want to see a cool movie that I won't get in the end. Suggestions?

Seen it. The guy swims inside Scotland's filthiest toilet. Fun. But I want a movie that I'm not going to understand for a long time. Like the angsty metaphysical schizophrenical emo movie par excellance, Donnie Darko.
Also, mod question: Would a History Discussion thread fit in Politics? If it does, what name would be okay? I was thinking "Empanado's Big Fat History Topic of Certain Doom".

Watch a movie called Fear X, starring John Turturro. The movie never got any fame...but it's stellar, regardless.
I swear, that whole movie...it's like your watching things through Turturro's eyes...and it's like he's tripping on acid the entire movie. Even though he's not..you know, tripping on acid.
I had to watch it twice before things really made sense...but that was just me, I guess.

I've searched for movies of that guy for ages now. They're rarely aired on cable TV, and, if they're not in Blockbuster, there's little more that you can do. Either spending a shitload of money on a DVD, or spending a shitload of money in some snobby artistic cinema filled with pseudo-french people drinking coffee. And there's the Internet. *coughthat'showIgotBlueVelvetcough*
So far I've found Eraserhead, Lost Highway and Twin Peaks, the full series, on DVD. But extra-expensive. They're kept as my last resource.
anything by John Waters,
I'll google that guy. Sounds familiar, though.
and 'Die, Mommie, Die!'
OMG! I'll google that thing.

Yeah, I think I get it. Security guard gets all crazy while investigating on his wife's murder, right? I was looking forward to see it, but I had to do... something else. It's aired frequently though, so I'll probably give it a look next time I'm free.

Pretty much, yea. The end (and the manner in which his wife was shot) kind of makes the movie ten times better.
Turturro is one of my favorite actors...and he plays the part in that movie excellently. It's too bad no one ever gives him more than a shred of credit.
I think he's really choosy about the roles he takes, or something.

Meh...
He's a great actor, all right, but... two Adam Sandler movies. I just hate Adam Sandler movies. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I mean, Steve Buscemi is on pretty much every single Adam Sandler movie, and he still kicks ass. Anyways, yeh, I'll better go check out the TV guide.

Eh...well...maybe he's not that choosy. Either that, or he's Sandler's secret lover.
I just hate Adam Sandler movies.
Well, that's because his movies are aimed at young humor. His movie, like many Jim Carrey movies, are meant for children.
Steve Buscemi is on pretty much every single Adam Sandler movie, and he still kicks ass.
I love Buscemi. And it's not just his acting that I feel so fondly about, either.
After 9-11...he quit acting for a while, and volunteered as a firefighter (i want to say in New York...but I'm not sure).
That, and he's been in a couple bar fights. One time he got stabbed in the head, during a drunken battle.
And it doesn't get any more 'down to earth' than getting in drunken fights, in public places.

Yeah, he was a firefighter before his acting took off. And yes he went to new york, where he had worked before. I saw an interview with him at ground zero, unlike some world leaders he actually did something there

I think that's really fucking cool. I mean, how many actors/actresses would give up a lucrative career (even for a short amount of time) to volunteer as a firefighter, in that situation?
Certainly not Cruise, or Willis, or Pitt.
