Hmmmmm.
Funk, rants make us feel alive again. I'm too tired and apathetic to do so now....but oh well.

I had a semi-rant against mass media not too long ago. It's been awhile since I've posted a full-fledge, soapbox rant. Then again, that's never really been my style.
Think you're pretty clever...

Well I certainly hope so too, because it was in the local clipped comic books and newspaper bin that the kindergardeners use to make scrap books.

Rants:
I think the last big rant (that I can remember anyway) was my one on chavs here. In fact, I think that may have been my only rant here.

Not to be rude, but what the fuck are you talking about, and why should I care?
Seriously, there hasn't been a talented person on a reality show since.... well, NEVER. NEVER FUCKING EVER ONCE. NOTHING GOOD HAS EVER COME OUT OF REALITY TV. REALITY TV TEACHES THAT PEOPLE, NO MATTER HOW HARD THEY TRY, ARE WORTHLESS UNLESS THEY SUCCEED. They inspire elitism and viewing other people, particularly the poor and ugly to be subhuman, and worthy of only derision and persecution. Only Soap Operas are a greater evil upon society by the media.

I don't. It's bad enough the straights are getting married. Can't the gays learn from our mistakes? Must the cycle of ruined lives continue, simply for the sake of unnecessary conformity and cultural guilt?

Actually my whole point about the show was how it was evil. I based my assumptoion not on talent or even watching the show, but by the completly manufactured system of racial profileing. I can also tell you the winner of survivor will be whatever gender the last one wasen't, unless they get a hermaphrodite

Wait a minute. You mean to tell us that reality TV is... *gasp* scripted? But all of the wild antics and the real life situations and the drama, man, the drama? How can you script that? Pretty poorly, it would seem.

right, but your hatred of the show made you watch to find out if you were right, thus letting them win anyways. I learned the hard way that when you let that kind of garbage in even enough to ridicule it, it ends up getting on you just the same.

Why do I need to watch the show to ridicule it? The previrews during the simpsons and house show me what skin color the winners are

*yawn* BO-RING. Where's the penis?
Also, reality shows, yeah, been there, seen that. They're slipping into the third world, too. Can you visualize it? Ten white, high-class chileans locked in a house, talking about the most inane stuff while the country's on the brink of collapse. *Shrug* No, I never saw that.

Well, it looks like my radiogrounds-listening days are coming to a close (unless we get someone to DJ really late at night), along with high tide for posting on the BBS. Started my summer job today, working from 3:00-1:00am. Guess I'll have to get used to being the only one roaming the boards at 4 in the morning :*-(
Ha! Nice new name -Kali-. Will this be a Guzzi-esque name-change, or a Tanner-style?
equally impressive new handle, Steve, much better than Shepherd_of_Hermes :)

Uff. Yeah, I usually stay on the boards til around 2.30 - 3.00 unless something exciting's happening. Usually around 5am, it picks up for a bit. *crazy brits*

I think I'll keep it for awhile. But Maus is safely put aside, so no worries. I'm still getting used to this name, but it's neat to do for a bit. I can't decide if I want to keep the dashes or not. It's weirrrrd seeing my name close to the beginning of the list.

Speaking of random things that have nothing to do with anything...
Maus, I worked on this very, very briefly. About 15 minutes, to be precise. So no hard feelings if it's not what you wanted.
If it needs refinement, send me an email, or grab my attention in chat.

Hey, here's an uplifting jokes I wrote about child murder and death!
Did you know that kids under 12 years old can't be charged with murder? It's because they apparently don't have a real understanding of death. So, I'm going to take it upon myself to educate kids about death with a trilogy of children's books. "They're dead, and they're never coming back," "You could die at any minute," and "Everyone you know and love will one day be dead, and there's nothing you can do about it." That should fix the problems we have with kids. Coming soon, book #4: "Guess what, your dog didn't really go to live on a farm!"
Hope you enjoy it!
