Indeed it is, they need to make it more audible when people snap. That way, you know when to call the cops, or duck.
On a lighter note, you gotta love these tv seasons on DVD. Uncut, remastered, with commentary and what not. Cannot beat it.

M (1931)
German-American director Fritz Lang presents his first "talkie" -- and cinema's first serial killer -- in this 1931 classic. Plump pedophile Hans Beckert (Peter Lorre), propelled by a compulsion he can't control, escapes the eye of the law -- but not the wrath of the Berlin underworld being blamed for his crimes. The character of Beckert was later used in Nazi propaganda films to illustrate the evils of sexual deviance.
SWEEET. Netflix has some awesome, weird shit! Or has anyone ever heard of Metropolis? An earlier film by the same guy, says it's his most famous and influential or some shit. Sounds pretty nice too.
At first I was really skeptical about Netflix, but it's great. We watch a lot of movies, and the shipments are speedy enough to make the $15 or whatever a month well worth it.

You are mistaken. You can beat it. When those DVDs reach bittorrent, THAT is unbeatable.

As far as entertainment goes, getting drunk and staring at the wall while thinking about philosophy has always been good enough for me.
Damn. You guys are right. I AM fucked up. I need to play with kids my age, or something. Maybe go to a bar, I don't know. This misanthropy shit is starting to grind on my nerves.

MY FREE MAC MINI CAME MY FREE MAC MINI CAME!!!1
It came today, via DHL, a complete surprise since either I was doing it wrong, or the number the company gave to me wasn't a tracking number. I probably spent $100 max trading / paying for referrals. But considering it's a $600 computer, I'm not complaining! WOOT
(I'm really getting too excited about this considering that I'm just going to give it to my parents, but still. Maybe I can just do these pyramid schemes over the summer and skip getting a job...)

Well, if you would get AIM or something, you could talk to any number of the mods and regs. Just give out your SN on a need-to-know basis.

It was fun. Today I went up to the computer lab that some of my staff were working in, researching games and websites for the kids. I came up behind the one girl and I caughter her on NG playing a mini-put game. She tried to BS it saying she thought NG would be an acceptable site for 6 year olds to come and play online games and such and when I said it didnt sound like a child appropreate site (not telling her I frequent it often) she tried to convince me it was. It was howls. I had her going for a good minute before I told her I knew all about NG and no the kids wouldnt be going unless she wanted her group to play a dating Sim.
Later on when I went back up to ask her a question about who I had to call to book the TV Studio (she is in the broadcasting program at the college) I caughter her playing games online again (not NG this time). It was one of the MS games or whatever with the blocks.

Wow, you signed up one day after I did and you are that far ahead of me? I feel like I havn't wasted nearly enough time on NG. Oh yes, here is your screenie, now in new and improved high quality.

that's great. not many people really know of how much time i spend on newgrounds. i mean, they all go to NG and play games, and assume i do the same. at camp i made one of my name tags look like the NG logo, cept instead of a tank i had my name with the city background. only about five people actually noticed where it was from.
and that was after i pulled out my back pack which has a NG sticker on it.

i saw a girl in school with a foamy T-shirt, she has no idea what foamy is actually. and a few people have trogdor shirst. i saw a person from MIT wearing a trogdor shirt in a Time magazine

yes, but if you havn't noticed to be able to have an account you must be 13. which makes a powerful messege that even the stuff not adult rated is still mostly for those 13+.
there is violence and sexual inuendos in even toned down submissions that make it to the front page.
not to mention there are adult links everywhere, and they have to pay the bills. franky i woulden't want a child of my own on this site until they were over 13.

Because clearly all children are going to pay attention to it, plus there are still banners all over the place. Look at it from my perspective. If a child just happens to look at a game that he shouldnt (doesnt matter if its on purpose or an accident) I have to answer to that childs paerents when they call the next day demanding to know why this happend, then take heat from my boss possibly. Its a situation I would rather aviod all together.

I'm hoping the fact that Zeke got his Mini Mac today will mean he's in a good mood and won't lock it.

You can block those ads? Thought it was only pop ups that those worked on.
Anyways, hoping I will get a job callback sometime this month or the next (or any, lol). Being a painters assistant sucks when the painter is on vacation. But I was only doing that part-time anyways. Besides, I dont want to be working outside once June and July roll around, *sizzle sizzle*.

Not much for idle chit-chat huh?

Well Zeke already made a "Currently Playing?" thread, and spam may be a problem on NG, but wmc is just too small.
Besides, why would anyone post spam in a thread like that when you could do it in the Official Spam thread?

There's a huge difference between idle chat, where you interact with other posters, and mindless post padding. The eating/listening threads are posted in with nary a thought given to other posters.

Thats not always true. Such threads can encourage discussions about music, food or whatever the thread's about. I think the "currently playing" thread was a good idea. I still can't figure out why it's so interesting to know hwt other people are listing to, but it is! :-)

I only participate in those if I feel like seeing what other people are saying, in other words, I usually read through all the responses beforehand and if I see one that I want to comment on, then and only then will I insert my opinion and currently listening to track or what I'm eating, etc.
Otherwise, I pretty much agree with you on that one. I also find most I'll draw/photoshop/rate you threads to be stupid in the same regard. I only post in those that I find completely and utterly important. Which usually translates into only those of people with extreme talent or someone I know will do something cool regardless.
People also tend to just respond without a complete sentence to those sorts of threads. That bugs me.

You got a point there. Although if no one made spam threads, then you wouldnt have anything to do :(. Be like one of those small town Sheriffs, just withou the gut or the moonshine, lol.

LOL@PRIVATE FORUM. Believe it or not, you get tired of arguing with chatbots and what not. I should probably post on the DAG forum more, but I'm trying to tone down my internet usage a bit. Well, that and I'm in the process of taking over General. And to think I used to hate General when I first came here.... I wonder if the quality of general posters has increased?
I've been really moody lately, see-saw style. I keep getting the feeling that I'm WAY too much of a loner for my own good. I'd rather not end up like Ol' Timmy McVeigh or Ted Kazinski(sp) if it's all the same to you guys. I know freakish hermit person is becoming vogue, but I HATE trends. The problem is that if I socialize, I'm going to drink. Alot. Ok, a whole lot. Fine damnit, I know I'm an addict at heart, don't remind me.
I just get the feeling I should be having more fun. Maybe it's the media. Maybe it's a constant and unending access to extremist emotional stimuli. Maybe it's the huge lump of bone on the back of my head that's been tender lately, despite the fact that the tree limb that caused it fell on me over 15 years ago.
Worse, maybe it's that I've been listening to too much fucking slipknot.
Meh, it's not all that bad, really. At least I'm not bitching about how unfair it is that my parents force me to work and pay all my own bills (yes, that's sarcasm, for those of whom may be confused), or hopped up on *insert overprescribed anti-psychotic here*.
Maybe I just been smoking too much pot. It's a possibility. Wait.... NO IT ISN'T!!! YOU CAN NEVER SMOKE TOO MUCH POT!!!
Meh, maybe this is that fashionable "ennui" thing creative people are supposed to get. I don't know. All I know is that my parents said I'd be grown up by now, but I'm clearly still maturing philosophically and emotionally. Being young at heart isn't all it's cracked up to be, apparently.
What really sucks is that whatever the fuck is going on with me, it's my fault, and I should definitely be doing something about it.

I agree with you about General, Funk. At first I never posted there, ever. I've come to embrace the cess pool that it is. It's all in the name of good, mindless fun. That's why I came to NG in the first place.
