See -Wraith- people do care about you. We have never met you before and we scrammbled around trying to find out who you were and try and contact you. How many people would do that for someone they didnt care about? We care about you, your folks care about you. We just want you to be safe, and if that means you will hate us, then thats fine by us, cause you being alive is what we care about.

I know, they talked to me a little bit about that. I'm not in trouble or anything, though.

No, not really. I don't care all that much.

Shit! Dude, you gave me a real scare there. I really felt sad after reading that post of yours and that never happens to me. I got all worried and crap when I finished reading all of this here.
Well, anyway, I'm really glad you're ok, but you have to stay positive, as hard as it seems. Things right now might not look so good, but you've really got to hold on to see what the future holds for you, there's always something good waiting for you there even if you can't quite see it yet, but trust me, something good will come up and you'll stop feeling like this.
I'm sure that in a few years you're whole life will turn around in a good direction, just never lose hope.
Again, I'm really happy you didn't go through with any of that in the end.

Wraith, don't do anything please.
I know how it feels when you want to die. When I was 17 and coming out, life seemed complicated. I felt cold inside. But let me tell you this.
If you feel that happiness is temporary, then at least know that sadness is temporary too. And I did slip in depression again after my baby was aborted after the car accident. But with time, I am feeling a little better. With time, you too will feel better too-- if you actively look for your happiness.
Please Wraith, look at all the people who care enough to respond to you. Shrike, Maus and a whole assload are calling you, or at least, trying to.

Yep. Wraith, we're here for ya man. Some of us pretty far removed, can't do much but listen/read, *shakes bracelet in solidarity*. but we don't need the publicity THAT badly!
Ya gotta make light of any situation. Suicide would just be a heavy shit hit of reality that most of us (speaking for myself anyway) could handle with everything going on (explaination not needed). Also - NG rule #366: "You MUST make a decent Flash before you off yourself!" - j/k :)
And having to state which is cause of ill feelings; anti-D's or w33d; but your words, they are very respectably expressed. For myself, i always say it as those in the w33d camp say it.. "Chill Dude!!" And see the doctor if teh anti-D's are getting ya down.
Damn Wraith. These guys care. And you're kinda making "being a bad influence" an occupational risk. I care. But i don't care THAT much. lol.
Cheer up mate. Believe. Things go better that way.

Well. I opt for a bath and a cup of tea instead of being online and disaster strikes without me.
I'm very proud of how well everyone reacted, and very glad indeed that Wraith changed his mind.
I do care about your well-being, Wraith, and everyone else's, even if I don't know you quite as well as Shrike and Maus do.

*Does not know honestly what to say*
Despite that, on with the show!
Looking down that window or at that knife or drug....Jesus. Life IS better than the twelve gauge brain dance.
So I'm glad that you had the strength of character to step back from that end, Wraith. I would've honestly missed you.
As for bracelets......
*Shows arms devoid of anything but uneven tanning and a watch*
I've never told anyone what I almost did that day, and I don't think I ever will. Why? Because I don't think that anyone needs to know, or has to know. Time passes by, let the past lie where it does. Let it lie where it is.
So return to life, take the good, the bad, the ugly, both, all of it. Live life because....because....
Ah crap, I'm rambling again.

Wraith, there are a lot of things I want to say right now, but I'll send you an email (check it later!) to talk to you about it. Needless to say I'm glad you're still around and I want you still around. Suicide is an answer, yes, but it's an easy one and it's not the right one. There are people in your life you care about you and love you; they don't want you to have this answer either. I'm including myself, and everyone else here who's shown their love and support. I want you to know that you can always count on me if you need someone to talk to. Remember that, please, it nothing else. <3

After a fairly shaky start to the day, Arthur's mind was beginning to reassemble itself from the shellshocked fragments the previous day had left him with. He had found a Nutri-Matic machine which had provided him with a plastic cup filled with a liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea. The way it functioned was very interesting. When the Drink button was pressed it made an instant but highly detailed examination of the subject's taste buds, a spectroscopic analysis of the subject's metabolism and then sent tiny experimental signals down the neural pathways to the taste centres of the subject's brain to see what was likely to go down well. However, no one knew quite why it did this because it invariably delivered a cupful of liquid that was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea. The Nutri-Matic was designed and manufactured by the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation whose complaints department now covers all the major land masses of the first three planets in the Sirius Tau Star system.

I think this thread turned out a whole lot better than the topic I had planned for Politics concerning the topic. (See page 3 synopsis for details).
Playing DA is fun, but you can sure get an appreciation for what people with unpopular views can go through.
Come to think of it, I still don't think anyone proved the argument wrong.

Yes, look at all the stuff that people have posted on here, no one would want you to die, that would make us sad. Listen to everyone here, they care about you and they seem to know what they are talking about.
Things do get better, trust me on this one. The odds may seem stacked against you and at times hope seems to disappear entirely, but you must fight on, do not go into that good night. The satisfaction that you get for working hard and making your life better for your self is great, you do have a purpose, there is a reason for you being here, and you must keep it with you. For me, I have found my purpose in the military, and will join up this summer after I see my family in Ohio in about May.
Wraith, you have friends and family who care about you, and many years ahead of you. Do not stop at the beginning of the voyage, but continue on through the rough seas and the storms, for at your journey's end, the reward shall be great.

Also, I'm afraid that I don't have good news for you Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie buffs. According to Brian Clevinger from 8-bit Theater:
"Lydia and I have been harboring intense worries about the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy movie since, oh, pretty much since the first trailer.
Our assumption was that it would be close enough to the books and only moderately ruined by team after team of producers. Nothing offensively bad, but also nothing we were particularly interested in seeing. Surely the core ideas and jokes and things would be there, as they are timeless and easy to do right.
Then this came down the pipes a few days ago. There is a much longer and even more depressing review here as well if you're into hurting yourself and spoilers. If you want a really short version, here it is: they took out the jokes to make room for more plot they then gutted to make room for some special effects.
I'm going to hold a one man protest of the movie in my living room by reading the books. I found a little boxed set from '85 at a used bookstore for ten bucks the other day. As far as I can tell, it's from the same printing as when I first read the books as a lad. "
I hereby maintain my previous postion, which I expressed to fli a few pages ago: DON'T TRUST HOLLYWOOD. They're money-sniffing whores.

Goddamnit, I went to bed early because I was so tired. I missed the drama. Anyway, Wraith, I'm not going to preach to you or whatever, but I will say one thing. You're SIXTEEN! Don't end your life before you've even begun to have one. Trust me, life gets so much better after highschool. Anyway, *hears the clang of her two cents into the jar* I just needed to say that becuase if I had ended my life at sixteen, I would have missed out on some of the most important and special events I've experienced so far.
