My uncle is the accountant who has to provide AOL's numbers to the SEC. I'm just hoping for the best.
Well, I hope he makes it outta there if the ship sinks. Hopefully he can get a job at Arther Anderson(spell?).
Sorry, that was mean. I couldn't resist and I am dreadfully sorry.
AOL is a time-bomb. If they had spend their time investing in broadband rather than marketing to people that already have the service, they wouldn't be in this fiasco. AOL was in a position to make big changes, and they fumbled. I hate Steve Case. They didn't diversify enough. Imagine if they set up a AOL-lite service, something along the lines of NetZero. That combined with a relatively cheap DSL package, and they'd dominate the market (and broadband would be waaaay cheaper, no matter who you use). But no... why fix something that isn't broken?(HA!)
On the other hand, it's good that AOL is upon hard times. Better competition in the market. Well, except that now Micro$oft is set to take over....
....Ok, I'm done with another AOL rant....
YAY! Sparky counts! Weeeeeee!
I like Sparky. He is soooo cute, and he can eat an entire cow in 2 & 1/2 minutes!!
