Look, Iraq right now produces mustard gas (banned by UN), Nx gas, and are buying up scuds and weapondry from 3rd world countries every day. He has been found to posses cultures of possible small pox and is searching for Uranium anywhere he can. He just recently tried to bribe uranium out of northern Africa. Hes is going to keep accumilating and accumilating these weapons and one day BOOM! Sadam decides to attack #1 enemy Isreal with his arsanal of scud missles equiped with mid air exploding tips full of Nx and Mustard gas. But wait it gets better! The pakistanies see a missle heading toward their country coming from the east on their radars. Holy shit the Indians are attacking!! Little do they know they arent the target, but see the only thing important now is that they nuke India and Isreal as fast as they cn before they are `attacked` more. The Indians detect multiple missle launches from Pakistan and guess what? THE CEASE FIRE IS OVER! Indian start rushing over the no-fire zone suicide bull running at the Pakistanies. Meanwhile the Israelies are pissed off cause all of a sudden half of bethlehem's population is on the ground dieing VERY slowly and PAINFULLY. Next thing you know our marine and air force bases are being attacked by former Al Quada with united Taliban shamens who start sucide bombing our boys. Woh! hello!! we assemble whats left of our forces and start heading into Iraq but see since we hadnt done anything about sadam before he wipes out our entire middle eastern force with 3 nucler missles but wait we violated the Iranian border line to attack this hastily and some of the the nucler blow-out has demolished several Iranian villages. Pretty soon ol` buddy saudi arabia joins up with Iran and guess what, they go north! Now we got the Germans and Hungarians duking it out unprepared with the Iranians and Saudis. Then France must also enter for the saftey of its citizens and defend thier country. Meanwhile then the Russians decide its time to try for Afganistan again while the picking is ripe and ends up launching thier forces. And of course it doesnt take China too long to enter in along with its old ally north korea who decides its payback time and lauches its missles on western US and Canadian Cities....
I could go on and on with an even more detailed spread sheet of things that could happen but heres the simple solution:
Right now Iraq has no nucler weapons, the UN inspectors have found allot of their production facilities and destroyed tons of illeagal weapons since we have gotten them back into Iraq. Right now we have the approval to launch forces from Hungary, Pakistan, and Afganistan. We could have the war over with in 7-8 months (most of it being gathering together the surrendered Iraq soldiers since they are all currently under fed and primitively equiped.) We setup a democratic government and let the people actually elect their leader. They would keep their oil and resources and we would give them rights and hope for prolonged friendship with the west. Then all you pathetic whiney panzys can crawl back into the left wing and find something else to over-react to and have fits about. Oh and, BUSH KNOWS WHAT HES DOING! (Try asbestos, thats a subject you can complain about and no-one would really care :) )

As well, as far as evil dictators go, saddam has tried to do quite alot to improve the lives of his subjects, even if he does prosecute the Kurdish people, Iraq has the most forward thinking policies on womens rights of any other arab country, and it has a much higher literacy rate than quite a few countries, arab and otherwise

check some of my other posts regarding oil. and since i know you aren't, i'll elaborate.

as you know the US isn't the only entity that will be in the Persian Gulf. they will under the scrutiny of the UK, who will be fighting along side them, and the UN. i believe that the UN will join in the war since they extended the deadline for compliance in iraq.

so instead of directly taking the oil, they will set up a government sympathetic to the US. by doing so they can receive iraqi oil at a cheaper price than they are right now. Dubya is a business man and this is the smartest business decision he will ever make.

why? because iraq is a member of OPEC. even though they hold only about 10% of the oil in the world, it would be enough to influence the price of crude throughout the entire world. under pressure from cheaper gas prices coming from the region's second largest oil reserve, it will cause a ripple effect across the entire globe. OPEC will have to drop the price of crude oil and would thereby lower prices here in America.

and doing that will simulate further economic growth at home. with cheaper oil, the airline industry will pick up because cheaper oil creates larger profits from tickets. the as of late weak car industry will pick up as well as prices at te pump will fall, and just about every other sector of industry will pick as such good news as cheaper oil prices and a complete victory in war will stimulate the markets. need more? i'm always ready for a good debate if you are willing.
