I work at a grocery store and I must admit that the stuff people buy is the cause of their being huge. I see people that are struggling with foodstamps but they buy total junk food for their 4+ welfare kids all of whom are mostly fat and arent being taught any better. I think that education to the kids that will soon be parents is in order for the population to have an overview as to whats in need of change.

I live in Southern California, and fat people are a rare find here, maybe it the fact it tends to be warm here, hey its warm now

I can now honestly say now that its hard to say witch is fat or not. I have a step-dad who has a big gut, but he's not fat. If he was fat it would be jolly fat(like santa) anyways. He s also very very tall. Honestly ic an say a good reson people are fat also is their matabolism.

I think that applies to some people, but I think most people are overweight because they eat too much and don't exercise.

I wouldn't consider someone fat unless they were just really huge. The guys that Wade posted aren't fat. They're husky, I guess, but not fat. Husky people are generally bigger people, but are still in good physical condition. A guy that's 6'7 and weighs 250 may look big, but he's not fat.

Scientists are always taking tests on seeing how many people are overweight out of a group of people. People then get ahold of these statistics and say that the overweight are fat. Some people don't understand that all these tests are different. One scientist/doctor may think that someone that's 6'4 and weighs 100 pounds is overweight, while another may think that's the ideal weight for their height.

Personally, I'd say that 10-15% of America is FAT. I'd say around 50% is overweight. They're completely different. A fat person is like those people on Jerry Springer that have to have their walls removed to get out of their house, can't walk because their legs will break, and all that good stuff. Yeah the stats are off a little, because all body builders, and people with any muscle at all, are overweight, and some are obese. Like arnold swartzernegger, back when he was mister world, his weight would have classified him as obese for his height, and he was trim as hell...
