Flat screens 2003-03-10 22:27:39 Reply

I have a flat screen monitor and it cant run certain games (or in other words cantt run 90% of them)are there any flatscreens that work with games by the way I know its the flatscreen because my videocard is geforce 4 Yoink!

some games run at too low or too high of a res that TFTs cant display
so what you have to do is lower your screen resolution before the game, if the game still wont load, then you have to modify the games config file to display in a lower resolution
then work your way up until you find the highest one that your monitor can handle

you misunderstand
its just a config issue
it does not mean they offer less quality then a CRT

in fact the detail is quite sharp and crisp
with less of that "refresh strain" on the eyes

all that at a fraction of electricity it takes to power a CRT
plus the obvious gain of space

i hate flat screens. my friend has one and his graphics are scratchy and aren't anti-aliased.
hard to read some things too

What are you talking about? CRT's have higher refresh rateds the LCD's. Therefore less eye strain....

the entire process of refreshing is different between the two
CRTs need a higher level because they require it to get rid of the flicker effect

graphics and AA are functions of the video card, not the monitor
