As of 12pm, 4th of september 2006, Steve Irwin is dead. This is no joke. The radio has been buring for the last hour about it. He died from a stingray stinger through the chest, I can;t back it up with internet links beacuse I can't find any yet. I know it's true beacuse every Aussie radio station is saying it.
If you don't remeber who he is, he's the crocodile man, the guy who yells "crikey" alot. Owner of the Australian zoo and stereotypical Aussie icon.

In Australia, and other Commonwealth countrys, the date is shown as Day/Month/Year. And the fact that you don't know that shows truely how ignorant some people can be!

That's too bad, I didn't know much about him besides the fact that people liked to parody him.
But with his field of work, this was bound to happen some day. He was always dealing with dangerous animals.
I'd imagine that they would chuck the underwater documentary, but think of what it would be like to see only some of it, then he gets stung. The kids would freak out.

This is like, depressing, I really liked him, he was pretty cool. Me and my dad sometimes joked and said that like, a snake or something would kill him one day, but now that it actually happened, it sucks. My day was pretty damn good and happy before this, also, and I was about to go to bed :(

I'd joked in the past that eventually that dumb bastard is going to get himself killed and that it'd be his own fault but not that he's actually dead it's got me quite down.
I watched a programme about him at some zoo putting on a massive live show for Australia not so long ago. He was having his daughter announce different things for the crowd.
