Lol? Runescape is larger, it has a lot more than just man map space. it has LOTS of undergrounds areas. LOTS. And uncharted areas, to boot.

I've played Runescape, and I've played WoW. I find WoW a lot more interactive than Runescape, with older people and not some dim-witted 9 year-old trying to act like they are good at gaming.

Please don't just get to level 40 on free members before deciding the game is bad.

I think I hit level 50-something on a member account before quiting.

If you want to talk about it being bad do this first:

A list of what I should do?

1.) Play the game and get to atleast level 70

I don't have the time or the want to get that high.

2.) Beat some of the harder members quests

I didn't really do many quests, because the ones I did where horribly thought out.

3.) Explore the entire land of Runescape, you'll be suprised how much more bigger than WoW's landscape it is.

I think Runescape is a childs game. It is entertaining when you are 11 maybe, but for most people it gets very annoying. I personally find it to be unentertaining and horribly designed. Runescape has potential, all they need to do is:

1.) Get better graphics.
2.) Put more thought into quests.
3.) Make it harder for little children to play.

Ltcolonelarcher... i have to really agree with you... they don't even try the game and yet, they still hate it! so what if someone reaches lvl 70... why does that mean that they have no life? SOMEONE MUST REPLY TO THAT QUESTION.

what if someone plays an hour a week... and they reach lvl 70... they have played for 5 or 6 years? they still have the other hours of the week with friends. I would consider that a life.

And wy do people who say... "OMG get a life!" to every adult that plays runescape?

I would personanally hate that life! adults have about 3 hours of free time with nothing to do while at home. playing an mmorpg would help pass the time.

the reason i would never play WoW is that it is addicting... my grades would get low... and i would fail school. i play runescape becuase it is not as addicting, but still impressive for a java game.

Runescape has helped me in school ALOT. I can now type a word almost every second thanks to the typing and i get A's in keyboarding class.. i get A's in math because of adding and subracting HUGE profits of money or exp. and i have lots of good friends. i play about 30 minutes a day... sometimes an hour.

Try the members version of it and then see how its like and you might agree with me.

If you did what ltcolonelarcher said on the front of this topic and you still don't like runescape... thats fine with me.

Oh and runescape has no voices so i have gotten much better at grammar and spelling. That means i get A's in language arts and literature.

Oh...my....god. Listen up before your wretched soul (and wasted cash) gets sunken into the muck beyond salvation. I used to play Runsecape...FREE....which is really the only reason to play it instead of WoW or something of much higher quality. To say that they're basically equal is like saying that The War at Home is about as funny as Seinfeld. Don't be stupid, you know full well that Runescape lacks every advance made in MMO's since Ultima Online. Anyways, with that aside, you're trying to make the point that membership makes it a completely different game. Great job, sucker, you fell for it hard and stupidly. "Membership" is a way of shanghai-ing you into spending money so you can explore more environments with graphics from the mid-90's and maybe, if you're skilled enough, do a couple more stupid fetch quests. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the combat is literally "click the enemy and sit there until it's dead". As a free web browser game along the lines of many of the things you'd find on this great site, Runescape is one of the best. I completely agree with your statement.It is a kids game.I did like it wen ! was 11,When I hit 13 I relized,"WOW!This game realy does suck!".From that day on I moved on to Counter-Strike.

I like it, it mainly just gets critisized because of its graphics, but it is free and expansive with weekly updates, whats to hate about it?

I can say I hate runescape. I got to about level 20-30 beacause thats all my friends ever did, so I thought it must be alright. Turns out its not. I used it as M.S.N most of the time and in that time I met the stupidist, most adicted and unkind people I have ever heard of. You idiots actualy pay a MONTHLY FEE to play a stupid game like that? On top of that my friends payed REAL MONEY for virtual money! What I find worse is that the mist adicted friend got to level 80 and did all normal and members quests, (THATS ADDICTION) and someone payed 80 QUID for it on ebay. Come on!
