Just b/c they're old doesn't mean they're out of ideas... Each new episode seems to be fully different from the other ones, IMO.

the only thing i don't like about family guy is that when you start talking about it people usually start quoting it to no end, unaware of how humorless it is unless you're actually watching the show.

How does 'The Simpsons' downgrade the network that hosts their show? Also, teh new episodes may not be as good, but they don't suck!

Yeah, I like Family Guy because its more clever, Simpsons has some pretty dumb jokes. In one episode Homer was confused and went "oooohhh" my freinds start laughing, but apperenlty watching an idiot is funny, Family Guy and Simpsons are the same, I just FUCKING LOVE FAMILY GUY, simpsons is okay but if i had to choose id pick family guy

The old Simpsons episodes are great, but the new episodes flat out suck. The new episodes of Family Guy is funnier than the Simpsons for right now, plus they have better writers even though I wish they would cut down on the sac religous crap.

It really all depends on your style of humor. If you like simple, quick, and fart jokes, you'll probaly like Family Guy. If you like jokes that take awhile to make, but it's worth it at the end, then you'll probaly like The Simpsons more.
I personally like Family Guy more. I do like The Simpsons, but their new episodes are starting to suck.

I agree.
Simpsons jokes are much more well-thought out. Family Guy is all just random stupidity jokes, and "remember the time..." jokes.
And the Simpsons characters are all much better. Although Adam West in Family Guy is awesome.

Everybody knows that Family Guy at its core is a ripoff of the Simpsons, but it's hard to top them. It is the longest running comedy on television, afterall. But still, more currently, I'd say The Simpsons was better than Family Guy. Sad...but true. The show's been lacking recently, and I've barely been tuning in. It's nothing compared to the earlier episodes. Hopefully the movie next summer will renew general interest but at least to me, that's basically their last chance.
