I'm too cool for paragraphs.
Do you people understand why some people are depressed? There's a major difference between depression and just sadness or self-pity like so many trend whore "emos" are. Depression is far more serious, and is an actual physical problem, not just emotional... Even if it is self-induced sometimes. The problem is a chemical imbalance in the brain. You see, in order for cells to communicate, they trade off seratonin (or travel over synapses... But that's different) and pass it on to another cell. The thing is- the seratonin is just passed over pretty carelessly- it's not as if it is safely transfered via a tube or something... It's more like someone throwing a ball to someone else- it won't necessarily be caught, for a number of reasons, including things in the way or the actual catcher themself. So this leaves room for error, and in order for good communication to be had between different cells the seratonin needs to be transferred well. With depressed brains, the cells are not very accurate in directing seratonin to other cells (or sometimes just have very low seratonin levels). So that means that a lot of the seratonin gets taken back into the original cell or it just passes off somewhere else, meaning only limited communication between the cells. This imbalance makes a person mentally imbalanced and somewhat unstable, usually meaning said person will be sad, gloomy, self-loathing, feeling worthless or introverted, and etc. Understand now? I know I'm not the best at explaining things but that's simple enough.
So shut your mouth the next time you are tempted to say "emos" suck or something.
