Why Idolize People like Lowtax, Drew Curtis, Maddox or even Eric Baumen?

Because (to an extent, especially Ebaum) They are revolutionaries with their sites, talent in their feild (Programming, Administration, Journalism, Thievery etc.) and just all around really nice guys.

Well, I have one thing to say to this, by all means I hope Wade goes off on him. Me and him most likely have the same attitude. Back a while ago, a couple of years ago online on other sites/games. I would chew the shit out of someone for saying something stupid/retared/about my friends. Also, anything else that was more than willingly tring to start shit with me. LIke wade I have cooled down..a little..I still have the same temptermental issues, except it isn't always angry, mostly it is funny. I had a great laugh at the expense of the people who listed what Wade has done for the site. I can assure you that those people are a part of the very short list of users who knew those facts, so I doubt anyone idolizes him for that.

People simply idolize Wade for one reason; Red. Text. People only find him amazing because he has power. They enjoy when he threatens others because it gives them a quick laugh. They love for him to campaign the destruction of a group that's simply found a loophole in the voting system because he feels it's unfair and blah-blah-blah, only because people want to see him chew someone out. They feel that his opinion is always correct because he has bold text and a big-ass picture to go with it.

I would like to issue a proclaimation to Wade; make an alt account for a month or so. Use your account as any normal person would; post, review, etc. I'd like to see how people treat you as a normal person. I know you have an account with the name RedDakota or some shit like that; just change the name, and go for a while as just a normal person. I'd love to see if you'd be treated any different, or if you treat others any different.

I'm not saying that it's "uncool" to like Wade; I just feel it's pointless to idolize a person who does Wade's job. What is there to idolize about a man who basically has the job of an internet babysitter (other than he hasn't blown his brains out yet)? I just choose not to like him myself because he can be an asshole, even if he claims that they deserve it (because of course that's a great thing for a person in power to say about their site's source of attention).
