I wouldn't go that far. Eric's methods of making lots of money from stealing are just more subtle.

"Tyler,

We were not under the impression that our use of these games was offending you, as the copyright holder. We will, however, look into this matter immediately. I have just finished composing a message to the owner.

I am planning to be away this weekend, however, should you wish to contact me, you may do so at adamaflynn@gamescript.net, which will redirect to my BlackBerry and I will return your message as soon as is possible.

As soon as I have a solid response from the owner, I will contact you at glaielgamesmail@comcast.net.

Can you please provide me with a list of the games in question?

Thank you.
Adam A Flynn,
Senior Sales / Support,
Lead Developer,
GameScript"

"i provided a list of games, i quote "These games include Magnetism, Magnetism 2, Krazy Kar, 3D Frogger, Project:Monochrome (under the name Monochrome), Green & Black, and White & Black."

It's not just the use of them that offends me. I dont mind people hosting a game on their site. But when you blatently take work without permission and SELL them, it really annoys me. Whoever runs this site is taking advantage of other people's hard work, and not paying them roalyties. "

"I understand your concern. As soon as the owner gets on, we will address the issue for you.

I would ask, though, that you call off your affiliates that are spamming our forum. We will address your concerns, but having our forums spammed does not make us terribly interested in dealing with it quickly, nor does it make me feel particularly willing to give up my vacation time this weekend to deal with the issue via BlackBerry.

We have banned the offending user, but would respectfully request that you ask whoever it is that is doing this to stop so that we can sort this issue out respectfully.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

Wow, dude. This is pretty fucking terrible. I can't believe there are people out there so small and fucking useless that they would be content to making a living like this. Benefiting from the hard work of others - many of them probably half their age. How pathetic is that? Cripes. Enfuriating.

"No More Spending Hours For Searching For Games!"

" - Spend Your Valuable Time Making Money!"

More like:

"More Time Spending Weeks/Months Making Games!"

" - Spend Your Valuable Time Making Games So Ass-fucks Like Us Can Profit From It!"

Typing like that pissed me off. :P

GG That's utter bullshit. Can HE not supply a solid answer himself as to why he's doing this? And why he's doing it without people's permission. This guy is being a real dickwad, and covering it up by pretending like he's hardly involved, having to contact the "owner". If he doesn't want such emails, why provide his address? It's total BS and I think he needs some serious action taken against him. I'm going to write my own email as well, so hold tight.

OK, so I've been thinking.

Do they have anyone else's games there?

They have mine, and they have Tyler's.

I feel Tom should get involved. Not only do they have some of his games, but he should protect his users.

Now, legal action is actually possible and worthwhile. I'm not lawyer, but I would say you can sue for the royalties you SHOULD be getting for them SELLING our games.

They should give us something. They are profiting off our games, and suing them is not out of question...

I have a feeling not telling them the exact legal action that will be taken wont scare them. Just taking our games down at this point is not enough. They've already sold tons of copies of gamescript with OUR games in it.

Well, hold tight for a bit, I emailed the guy awhile back. He has 3 (that I've seen so far) of my games on the site as well, and I emailed him about that, AND regarding the most BS response he gave Glaiel. I made it pretty straight foward and it should get through to him, so we can get a real answer. So, I'm waiting for his reply, and I'll post everything here when he does...

It IS selling. My friend actually bought a copy I think when he was trying to start a game site. I did not put two and two together that they were distributing Flash games WITH it. I thought at that time it was just the script, but I was mistaking.

That's their demo site. Those are the games they give out with their script.

Publicity is good, but selling is not.

They are using YOUR game to sell THEIR product for a lot of money.

You, me, and everyone who's games they have should be getting royalties.

This is quite a horrible topic. I'm glad I don't make games, not that anyone would ever steal somethig of B_M quality.

However terrible this is, I found it hillarious that some people thought Tom Fulp would swoop in and save the day.

He should care.

What if the next thing these people do is spider Newgrounds and include all the games in their script that have a 3.8 or higher?

Well... seems to me it's yet more proof that you need as much security on your Flashworks as possible. And a team of lawyers.

I'm sure a lot of people could band together, write up a decent list of evidence, and send it off to the Electonic Frontier Foundation to see if they have any advice for you all. Seems like a lot of you have been affected by this to the point you really should all be taking legal action...

Who cares, it's the same thing for sites who host your/my/anyone's games, they probably have ads swarming all over the place, and they're making profit off the games. So I don't really care.
