Sup NG, i havent been on in a while (internet issues). I have FL 5 XL, and i wanted to know if anyone knew where i could find any authenic bell (Tube bell to church bell, low and rich sound) as well as piano (again rich and flowing, better bit rate than the FL key plugin).
I have really wanted to make classical peice but i have low end keys and bells. If anyone can help me out and post a few links to some good vst's, or can u send me a few at
magnumhellfire@gmail.com
Thx in advanced NG, and peace.
Your truly, the one to be the best.

Edirol Orchestra has some good Celesta/Tubuler Bells - 130mb's
Ethnosphere has some excellent chimes - 200 or so mb's
East West Gold has awesome Bells - 13gb's
SoundFonts is also an incredible resource for singular sounds like bells.
Hope that helps.

Steinburg Grand VST 1.8 gigs
the BEST damn sounding piano VST i've EVER heard. It's all just one piano, so you know it's going to be godly.

lol, 1+ gig for this piano? damn thats either gotta be really awesome quality or just really weak compression.

Trust me, I never use any other piano VST for anything else.
Now if I could only find a 2 gig organ...

The best VST piano there is right now is Ivory. As I recall, that is 40 Gb worth of samples, but damn does it sound good. I would personally have to recommend Bosendorfer 290 over Steinberg The Grand.
I've always been in love with Bosendorfer pianos ever since I played on one, so if I had a choice between The Grand and 290, I would definateyl choose 290.
Ivory may be a bit overkill though, because it is loaded with velocity layers and high-quality samples that really tax your computer. Ideally, you'd would a computer just for running Ivory itself.

so it's a no go for a hobbyist such as myself?
Damn.
Oh well, how about that Vienna orchestra, 320 gigs large!
Lets see somebody steal THAT! It's officially too big to steal. I lawl at the image.

Look, VST's are fine and all, but really, nothing can compare to the real thing. Go ahead and buy yourself a Steinway piano. It not only sounds wonderful, but it looks great too, and guests to your domicile will be enthralled at its classic style.

Though I could not agree with you more Padman, you have to consider several angles.
One, the recording hardware needed to make it as clear and useful as a VST would well exceed the tens of thousands (home studio pretty much).
Two, lets be brutally honest. If anybody is going to get a VST here, how many of you are going to "buy" it --_--"
We're all damn broke, lets just concur to this, and move along.

I was only joking by the way!
Of course VSTi's are the only way to fly, actually recording a physical piano would be hell, plus where's the midi grid? I'd be lost. Is there one that slides out where you put your sheet music or something? :P
