I was bartering over bus fare with the asian lady at my local variety store when I glanced over to the left of the counter to where the weed pipes, weed lighters and other cheap crap resided, when i SAW a bunch of little packages neatly hung on a tiny rack. the baggie-looking packages were labelled SALVIA DIV...WHATEVER, it's full name.
SO i was like OMFGWTF, and I checked Erowid.com, only to find that yes, INDEED it is not controlled in canada.
does that mean its legal? but its a hallucinogen! just like shrooms and lsd! and out of the 3 it is notoriously the most unpleasant.
help me. is it legal or not? it must be some weak-ass fake variety if it is.

the high is about 40 minutes long, although you get pretty strong closed eye visuals, panic attacks, etc.

It's legal over here, too, as are Fly Algaric magic mushrooms and Datura. Drugs that most people don't want to do often are legal, presumably because there's no real risk of 'abuse' because you do it once and think "don't fancy doing that for a while."
Unconcentrated salvia is actually quite pleasant - I had it recently. It's 10x or 20x you want to look out for, because that will fuck you up. Apparently you can get 100x, but I would never try that.

Yeah if it's noisy and there's a ton of distractions, the trip lasts about that time, done properly it can last up to half an hour.
Problem is though, Salvia tends to dismantle the universe about 5 seconds after you inhale it. It's like an LSD trip.
That, and it gives you the weirdest red-eyes ever.
