.... on other computers when I upload to the net. They appear as times new roman.

And I have tried font symbols...

Not another blog, pfft

Are they dynamic text boxes? If so you need to embed the font outline.

Yes, you have to embed the font. In Flash 8, click "embed" (right next to antialiasing) and choose the characters you'll need (Uppercase, Lowercase, Punctuation, and Numerals will do it for anything, unless you want characters from other languages included aswell).
