Well, that's pretty obvious. It says "All Dimrain47 fans read!!" and is made by Dimrain47. You gotta admit that comes off pretty self-satisfied and that attitude tends to provoke scepsis, irony, sarcasm and the like.

In all actuality, the thread is a self-advertisement and, as clearly stated in the sticky, belongs in the Audio Advertisements thread. We can pretty much bear to make an exception in cases like this - we did so with KingBastard - but at least name the thread properly so it's obvious what is to be expected. "Post here if you want to buy my album" for example.

Nitpicking, sure. But that's how the human mind works. Especially on teh Intrnetz.

Oh no wait, it's just the audio forum exploding into controversy again, yet again spiraling into a flame war between multiple artists taking cheap shots at each other.

I'm not going to say a word to entice any more hatred toward me or any other member, except for the fact that this post is in all actuality a self-advertisement, just without much competition (Not looking for downloads, looking for CD sales.)

Now, if anyone here is at all interested in getting more attention to the audio portal, you are NOT helping by arguing within the community over something like the skill of an artist.

This thread should not exist for multiple reasons, however members should respect their peers and act responsibly (by fighting out of the view of the youngens now :), use that PM system!)

Wow you really need to grow up. First of all, there is no solid evidence to prove I am or ever was Haiasi. I do have friends who do stupid shit.

And by the sound of things, you really need to lighten up. We all know that the purpose of this site is to get publicity. If you get no publicity, you either get better or leave. I got better and nothing happened for me so I left. But when people say they don't like your shit, you call them jealous and sometimes, in API's case, a "douchebag."

All I did when I was here was took the flaming retards that didn't give any helpful or detailed review on why they disliked it (leaving a one line review like "this blows,") and I cut them down to size. Very rarely did I have someone give a bad review on one of my songs with a justified review that was respectable.

The point for this topic is that you are making a CD and I respect that. However, you made this topic taking the risk of having people flame you. So I would swallow your pride and move on. I do hope that your style has changed for your CD because you know my opinion of it. Your music lacks a lot in dynamics and in production. Your execution is flawless but you really need to create your own instruments rather that presets and make the most you can with effects. Effects make the song flow rather than be choppy like some of your tracks do now.

I know that this topic is going to get Dimrain's close personal friends...I mean fans mad at me, but as said above, this was necessary. I know you don't like me, but it's no reason to attack my music when you know there is no reason to. You just happen to get a lot of fans and downloads because most of the techno community, and by most I mean the ones not posting on the boards, are about 12-14 years old. They want music like yours rather than mine. However you've only captivated a small community compared to what I most likely will captivate in the world.

I have not released a CD yet. I'm holding off for a few months while I assist XsToRmEr1 in his album release -- Existence. My album, Transcension will begin being replicated for release in late December/ early January.

First, i see you don't like Dimrain47, but you don't dislike his music (without liking it).You started hostilities when he gave you a bad review, if i remember. Besides, you dislike him because of his popularity,his reviews, downloads, diamond-platinum tracks and stuff. By definition, that's what i call "jealousy". And it seems you're not the only one... So, frankly, what the hell is the point in keeping flaming him, since ,either way, he'd say you're a douchebag, and you'd reply by saying his music isn't that great? Why do you bother, then? Never forget that there will always be better artist than yourself, that's also my case. When i hear DavidOrr's stuff, or GrumbleDuke, or Soulstrings's, or Arbiter's and stuff, do i flame them for being popular, their songs getting downloaded, reviewed, fived? No at all. I'm not seeing that Dimrain47 is better than you, i haven't listened to both or your stuff, but what i want to say is that you should have acted as a sensible artist by just respecting him. If he has a label, so just congrats him, he probably deserved it, and your turn will come, so he could respect you as well.

And then, Dimrain47. You're going to release an album. That's great for you, and i want to congratulate you for that. I perfectly understand you wanted to adverstise your album, and i assume most of us understand that. But, as an artist, you should be modest. The title of the topic is "All Dimrain47 Fans Read!!". My post is not intended to flame him, I'm just saying that he took the risk of being flamed by making it. It's somewhat of a pointless thread because you just need to start out making 100-200 CD's and see how it works out. If you need more, make more. If people didn't buy them all, wait until they do.

I used to be bothered by his popularity and mass downloads, but not anymore. Over time I began to realise that he captures more of the NG techno community than I do. I understand that now and I don't hold a grudge anymore. I would say that his song that is basically a compilation of others work bothers me, but he did that and it's up to the general NG AP public to decide whether it should be removed or not.

I am but one person who shared their feelings on the subject, I don't represent everyone. That's what I believe is the major downfall of this site. The community does not respect others opinions if they dont agree with it. They simply flame that person and spread their beliefs to be flamed by the next.

I don't like Dimrain, but I don't dislike him. My feelings about him now are simply neutral. He has fans, as well as enemies. Just let him be. Making this topic was not a very wise decision, but what's done is done and we should let this thread die out. If we don't, it will just cause more controversy and hatred between artists.

I will buy Dimrain's CD and I will purchase it for two reasons:

1.) I support all of NG's respectable and he has made a name for himself, whether it be negative or positive to people's beliefs.

2.) I have much respect for Dimrain venturing out to a new playing field and I want to show him my respect.

As for my comment's about his music, it is how I feel about it. He has great compositional abilities, yet needs refining on his tracks. I'm only saying constructive critisism so that he can choose to follow or ignore it. I in no way mean to flame him in this topic.

As for my comment about his CD release vs mine, I'm just saying it's a possibility. He captivated a lot of people here, but a lot of them are younger than the general public outside of NG that listens to Techno / Trance / Etc... I wish him the best of luck though.

So please don't get me wrong, I'm not posting to cause trouble, but merely extinguish the flames on this subject, even if it's at my own expense.

And one other thing, I know it's kind of stupid to say, but my name is "Saint Isaiah" - I just cant make my username like that so just for future reference, If you could refer to me as that, it would be really appreciated.

Couldn't agree more. It would be in everyone's best interest to let the thread drop (as most of the poeple who would see this topic have), but it doesn't seem like people are willing to let this drop.

I would gladly buy a CD from you Dimrain. I've heard some of your songs and I think you've got potential to build your skills to a great level. I only ask of you one thing: you must make your songs available for preview, maybe one full song available for free. I'd like to know what I'm buying. I'm hoping that you actually develop your skills even further instead of sticking at your level and recycling synths, etc. As an honest opinion from artist to artist, I don't feel that you have a distinguishing song. Simply put, your music lacks variety. Please don't let me feel like I'm listening to the same song.
