Thanks for the info. There is a member of the club, rabidbaboy, who is an exceptional sprite artist. Back on page 268, he posted -
"... if you want to commission me for spites, email me at rabidbaboy@yahoo.com, we'll talk about it, i do isometric sprites and small sprites for sidescroller platformers ..."
- so try getting in touch with him and he may be able to help you. Best of luck to you on your project!

I'm over thinking all this [stuff about the stats]
That's usually the case when one wants to create something that's as perfect as they could possibly get it; that's normal. As an example, back in 1993, Sky Box produced a set of Marvel trading cards that featured a Marvel character on the front and their stats on the back. The numbers only went from 1 to 7. Here are some sample stats:
WOLVERINE
Strength: 2
Stamina: 5
Fighting Ability: 7
Durability: 5
IRON MAN
Strength: 6
Speed: 6
Intelligence: 5
Energy Projection: 5
APOCALYPSE
Strength: 6
Intelligence: 5
Mental Powers: 5
Energy Projection: 5
As you can see, it's not an exact science and is geared more toward each character's individual strengths. I don't think it needs to be exacting, just as long as the readers have an idea of how different characters and monsters stack up against each other.
