Now everyone i made some Ridley sprites to go with the story. Ridley is going to be the funnest thing in the flash because i will animate the body, head and tail on seperate layers in flash and add skeleton sfx because he's a skeleton dragon. So you'll hear all boney sounds i only found a few here and i will also use the Ridley crys from Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Metroid Zero Mission. I like the Super Metroid sfx the best. All the Metroid have great music apart from the ones with mono sound lol.

So here is what i put together on paint with a head and the wing sprites i made because Ridley is sitting down. I have to give him a tail that is lying on the ground and also change his legs like in the pic above.

I also plan to make sprite portrait versions of the manga close up pictures of the characters like they would do in a Capcom sprite game.

Happy birthday Kaos. And welcome to post-teen life. The angst doesn't stop but you can't blame it on being a teenager. =P

After a lot of procrastinating I finally got Zero Assault underway. I'm in the middle of doing up the title sequence (may as well dress it up a bit, considering it's an all-out fight flash). I'll submit what I've done to Imageshack when I'm ready to.

On a sidenote, MMZ Zero has a hell of a lot of sprites... ¬_¬

Anywho, I'm going to start relatively small, plot and animation-wise, and do a sprite music video, so I'm looking for some dancing sprites, from any game, any bittage, so if anyone happens to have any, it would be MUCH appreciated :)

heya guys Xcyper33 is back. And i will finish my sprite movie. All i need to do is add the last fight scene and some music. I can't wait to post it to see the review scores. Anyways, I hope you will ejoy my movie come release of it.

PS: I notice that most of the sprite work done in this club is Megaman. Cans omeone sprite edit something else besides Megaman? Its really getting dull IMO.

what would be the judbement of the sprite club about the idea of a movie like theis:

Alternative Heroes: Girl Power (title still under work)
basic plot: Merio, Luigi and Link get their asses kicked by the uniter armies of Ganon and Bowser, and get taken to a casle in a alternative dimention

so Peach and Zelda(sheik) need to go and save them.

Great tutorial i gave a review and voted 5 i think it deserves it. It should encourage people into making more of there own sprites =D

Oh and can you post or email me the actionscript you used to make your links have open in new window and copy link they would be really usefull.

Anyway i made the tail for Ridley. See it =D but this is done on paint. When i do it in flash i will import bitmaps for the head, body, wings and tail parts so i can animate it all in flash.
It is great making sprites of all this stuff but i can't wait to have enough done to start actually making it into a flash!

Hi there everyone - Yesterday was a big day for me cause I submitted my new flash named "Megaman Zero - The Last cataclysm".It already got the daily first award and a lot of attention.

A great effort went into that flash with NG's best 7 voice actors - I have worked for 3 months to do it But it was worth to working.

Ok Now go on and watch . You'll regret If you miss this flash

It's a secret, but I can tell you there is both actionscript and wits involved.

And I agree that Flamezero's flash is bloody excellent. Hell, I'll probably vote for it in the monthly award thing if I see nothing better.

My opening for Zero Assault is nearly finished (at long last). Just gotta add some sound effects and draw up two more Zero pictures for one part (you'll probably see what part they'll go). Here's what I have so far if anyone's interested:

I saw Flamezero's flash yesterday. It was truly above average animation. Congratulations: yet again, a sprite movie makes it in the daily top 5. (no luck... mine made it 6th place. AGGGHH!!)

WOAAH!! I seen Flamezero's flash and I was like WOW!! I then looked at Bass strikes back flash and compared it to Flamezero's flash and my conclusion is:

o_O so much competition going on :P i love all the new flashes i've been seeing today.

I can't wait to get my flash going! I think i'll start it straight away when i get back from school. I got a ,png to .gif converter so i can really compress my sprites before i use them in flash. Now i just have to get them all ready but i still need to make a sprite sheet for 3 year old Samus.

So, to all of you asking for sprites that arn't Megaman based, here's Ms. Not a Megaman Edit. :) Ms. Edit is based on Samus, and contains v. mild nudity (Oh noes!!!) As usual, my sprites are public domain to anyone in the sprite club, as long as you don't claim it's your work.

I don't even bother converting my .PNG files into .GIF, and look at the size of my submissions.

Nice! It is barely noticable that you even used a base!

One question... If you trace bitmap does it matter what format you trace? I've decided to never trace bitmap again lol :P this program converts them all into gif in seconds XD

ch33ks, to answer your question:
Once your bitmap has been traced (converted into vector art) it doesn't matter anymore. The size of the BITMAP FILE that is still in your library, though, matters.

Good to know. Because i'm just using bitmaps so i have to compress them.

I made a sprite from scratch. I tryed not to gradient the clothes and just do a little shade and it's supposed to be Samus jumping for something. I'd like to hear as many thoughts i can =D
