Yeah, I played Guitar Hero 2 thinking it was gonna be better, since all the hardcore Guitsr Hero 3 fans think it is, and personally I find the songs boring, besides the obviously good songs like 'Carry on my Wayward son' and 'Freebird'.

Plus it's has a variety of challenging songs that are spread throughout the career, unlike Guitar Hero 3 which blatantly gets harder as you progress, and then bitch slaps you on the last setlist.

I wish they would bring back Freebird to Guitar Hero 3, but of course, Led Zeppelin doesn't like the idea of their songs on these games and they wont accept any more covers.

I think that you should be able to download all of the songs for the previous Guitar Hero games, as it would be awesome to play sets based around certain bands.

Having added some new tunes to my iPod this morning, I think that Chinatown by Thin Lizzy would be an awesome addition to the tunes you can play on Guitar hero. Obviously, it would be pretty cool for bass as well, with Phil Lynnot on Bass as well ;)

I'd like to see Do Me Bad Things - Time For Deliverance as a bonus song on the next Guitar Hero.

If you're going to have more Thin Lizzy on Guitar Hero, you need to have Black Rose. Some excellent solos in that.

Is anyone getting the Guitar Hero for the DS? I heard it was alright, and was only £30 from Play, so I ordered it.

HANGAR 18 FTW! This is my second favorite song in the game, next to FreeBird, and passing it is fairly easy, as kibg as you actually KNOW what's going on in the solos. Take it into practice, go to the part you're failing at and run it through on slow so you can see what's going on in the solos. It's mostly just sweeps and HOPO's. Save up star power for the ending epic solo, you should be able to hit the end parts, as they're just fast strumming and pull-offs.

GH2 is precision, GH3 is flailing and random strums, not to say it's not fun, just a lot easier and unrealistic. Keep playing, it'll grow on you.

That said, there still are some awesome tunes that are just so much fun to play on GH2 though. These include: Mother, Search & Destroy, Jessica, Rock 'N' Roll Hoochie Coo, YYZ, and a couple of others I can't think of at the moment. And also I haven't really done much in the way of bonus songs yet.

The setlist in GH2 was stellar, because it was mostly tracks with GREAT guitar parts. Fun to play, yet still challenging. Buy Jordan from the shop, and try that out in practice ;]

Eh, I don't think Jordan's especially fun to play. So sue me.

It's not really all THAT fun, it's just a nice challenge in the game that carries bragging rights. Once you beat everything else and you only have that empty spot in your setlist, it's maddening. When you beat it, however, it's a great feeling.

On a side note, I picked up GH: A. I played through it in two days, 5 starring everything ON SIGHTREAD except for "Back In The Saddle Again", "Train Kept A- Rollin", and "Joe Perry Guitar Battle (5* just a few minutes ago). In my opinion, it's a fun game with songs that are entertaining to play, but no real challenge to it. If you're looking for a game with difficult songs, this isn't the game for you. The only tough ones were JPGB and TKaR (which was SEVERELY overcharted). For a moderately skilled player, this game is worth every penny, but for seasoned experts, it might come off as a waste.

I used to play Guitar Hero a lot, but i haven't really lately. I 5-starred everything in guitar hero 3 expert (non-bonus or downloaded). Knights of Cydonia was a pain in the ass to 5-star.

I got the DS Guitar Hero game today. It does make your hand hurt a bit, but it's a decent game. Obviously isn't as impressive as the big console versions, but decent nonetheless.
