i actually tied mauvais garcon yesterday. i developped a hybrid strum that got me through the stuff before verses. fc'd the bridge and the outro in practice, probably get the fc today. i seem to have a terrible habit of missing the easy notes in the song XD. grats on all those fc's though. i knew it was a matter of time. i just hope youre using the bradleyzoo.com paths so u get max yield from the songs, today is mg fc and dragonforce pass. maybe throw a suck my kiss fc in there as well

I've tried a song on Expert. I'm not the best guitar playing whizzkid around these parts. I'd rather play the songs well and enjoy them, before progressing to the next level (8 Perfects now, so I'm getting slightly better.

Having now managed to complete the first run through the game on Easy, I have to declare that the worst part of this whole thing is that I'll only ever manage to play 40 songs from the playlist - I'm not reducing myself to playing Slipknot, because they suck balls.

The other reason is Raining Blood, by Slayer. Every other song, I can complete with 5 stars, but I can't get past 40% on Easy

From the final battle, The Devil Went Down To Georgia is an awesome song and I wish I could play that as part of the playlist, just solo, without the crap of the battle things ruining my 150 note streak.

I'll have to give DragonForce a go, after the play through in the credits, since it's such a good tune and I can get further than the 40% of Raining Blood. Not sure I'm up to 5 stars yet, but I'm liking what I heard.

If you play on Xbox 360, and go on Xbox Live. You can download The Devil Went Down To Georgia, so you dont have to play against Lou, and it's a solo song. You get Morellos and Slash's aswell.

Thanks for that - the main problem that presents is that I'll have to get my girlfriend's brother to make it available on his game, as it's his console and his XBL setup.

I've tried it, but he downloaded it on his XBL some time ago. His Xbox got broken, he bought a new one, because hecouldn't wait for the repairs to get done, then he swapped the hard drives over and it's not saved on there any more, miraculously...

Which difficulty? I don't mind that song, but I'd rather not play it, though it's a better one than Raining Blood, which is a bad song before you even get to the fact of trying to play it.

I've still got 4 songs to 5 star on expert. The only one of those that isn't 4 starred is Raining Blood of course. What a bitch.

thats my biggest fear. when i play songs, i always keep markers of approximately what my score should be. One time i was about to start solo a in la grange when i looked and saw that i was a couple hundred points off, saved me a lot of effort hah. I havent been going for fcs lately either, ive been too busy with school, no time to play really. I placed 4th in my guitar hero league so i got to choose a song for the first round of the playoffs. I chose Same Old Song and Dance :D figured i would force myself to FC it. I've gotten all the way until the end so im not overly worried about beating the guy and moving into the semis. as far as i know the semis and finals are random from the songs we havent played, so no dforce, rb, koc or impulse which is good. I'll still end up getting fcpremix and losing, but thats ok.

I won't post any pictures, but im killin it for some reason now. SOSAD and Suck My Kiss FC's, another -1 on in love as awell as 3's and 7's which make me suicidal but thats ok. coming up on 40 :D

No, I can't even think of a spot where that would be useful for me. I guess I'm odd that way, sometimes the least convenient method is the one I gravitate towards. The only time I'll anchor my pointer finger is on a trill. For example I'll play any zig-zag section by lifting up each finger before putting down the next. I've tried, but I just can't do the anchor and roll technique.

Finally got around to five-starring Raining Blood which puts the main setlist to rest and leaves only The Way it Ends and TTFaF. I almost had TWiE the other day. I came through the first half of the song with a decent 245k, which should have been more than enough, but I completely fucked up the solo. As in I didn't even get any of the SP in it. I also flubbed up FC runs of Cities on Flame and Welcome to the Jungle.

I can beat Easy with my toes.

That's almost as annoying as missing the last chord on any song, particularly one that you've never been particularly good at and you just want to fc it before you leave it alone for a good while.

I've got to wait until Monday to get my next fix - the XBOX has gone away while my girlfriend's dad is being moody and at home. When he goes back, that will come out again and all the housework will likely stop as well :P

RB isnt even that, if you can reliably do hard rain , the part after mosh 1 and the part with trio chords you can pretty easily get 200k. ive got time to do it now that SOSAD is done. good job though keep it up
