Last Tuesday, Harmonix released a 3-song thrash metal pack for Rock Band. The hardest guitar and drum work we've seen yet.

This Tuesday, Harmonix is releasing a 6-song Boston set, including More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, and Smokin. The hardest singing work we've seen yet, also being one of the best bands of all time.

And my xbox red ringed three days before the Thrash pack was released.

I can't put it to any words in Guitar hero. When I hear it, I'll feel stupid though.

I think I'm like, a nocturnal Guitar Hero or something. Last night I got 83% on TTFAF on Hard on my first try, and just thought "I'm not far off, I'll do it tomorrow". Now I can't get through the intro.

To complete a song without leaving the x4 multiplier, that is, don't miss any notes and don't double strum anything or whatever.

I only have three song left to five-star on ahrd before I 5'd them all!

Any tips? I've 4-starred both Raining Blood and One, but I've only three-starred Knights Of Cydonia.

Be sure to get the two star powers that are hiding in the fast sections and use them in the fast sections that come after them. It's a waste to save them or use them any other time. Even if you're bound to break combo. Then, try to perfect everything after the fast strumming sections. There's at least 200k you can get from the HO/POs until the end and mastering it can immensely make up for them many mistakes you're likely to make at the start. The real trouble should be the Orange Red Green pattern. I know that a lot of people tap it, but I think that starting on your pinky them sliding your index finger from the red to the green is way easier to wrap your head around.

If you're still having trouble it's just a matter of repetition until your score works up to a five-star.

Anyways, Institutionalized references aside, I'm finally starting to pull my head out of my ass and perform well on some songs. I reverted back to playing Guitar Hero II, and I finally FC'ed "Hush". Yes, I know, it's Hush. I should've done it a long time ago. But you know, it's better to have taken a long time to FC it than to not FC it at all.

I'm trying to figure out which song I might run at next. There's a few tier 1=4 songs left that I could pull off, and then there's Laid to Rest and Rock This Town in tier 7. Regardless, I'm going to be going for some more FC's here in the coming weeks.

I'm a big fan of GH and Rock Band. i have completed career mode on expert for all three GH games and the expert guitar career on Rock Band. I wouldn't say that I'm amazing at the game, but I have some skill. Lately, I've been more interested in playing my electric guitar. It's really fun to learn GH and Rock Band songs on the guitar.

I can't work on them right now because my 360's over at a friend's house and he doesn't get off of work until later on today. Once he's home though, I'll be right back at it. Hopefully I can pull off some shit tonight. I have a good feeling about a couple songs.

ok, im joining the club. Im not sure if im suppost to give any info but ive beaten it on easy, medium, hard amd im stuck on the metal on my expert career. Um... so wasup! And as a "first thing to say" I 5 starred rock you like a hurricane(and progressed from the second set of my expert career) on expert and went back and perfected 12 songs on medium.

I got on my girlfriend's nerves the other day - She perfected Paint it Black on easy, before swiftly graduating to Medium. I decided to go one better, so I've now got 7 perfect songs on Easy and I'm only going to go up to Medium when I've got most of the Easy perfected :P

Haha, I'm quoting myself, but only for a good reason, because good things did happen last night. I ended up polishing off two more songs for full combos.

"Can't Be Saved" by Senses Fail
"Mauvais Garcon" by NAAST

I really thought I was going to biff up the last part of each of these songs, because I always seem to at some point when I'm trying to go for the full combo, but not last night. That puts my FC total up to twenty-six now. I'm going to try and pull off a couple more today, I do believe.

Holy crap. I had an FC frenzy tonight.

The craziest part is that even with the different songs I played between them it only took me about an hour to get all four. I'm usually the worst with stupid little, FC ruining mistakes. 3s and 7s was the only one the took more than 3 tries and She Bangs the Drums only took one.

Go for it, you can definetly get the FC. The difficulty for Mauvais Garcon is highly overrated. I think most people play it once or twice, get a little frustrated, give up, and then complain that Neversoft overcharted it.

I've tried a song on Expert. I'm not the best guitar playing whizzkid around these parts. I'd rather play the songs well and enjoy them, before progressing to the next level (8 Perfects now, so I'm getting slightly better.

Having now managed to complete the first run through the game on Easy, I have to declare that the worst part of this whole thing is that I'll only ever manage to play 40 songs from the playlist - I'm not reducing myself to playing Slipknot, because they suck balls.

The other reason is Raining Blood, by Slayer. Every other song, I can complete with 5 stars, but I can't get past 40% on Easy

From the final battle, The Devil Went Down To Georgia is an awesome song and I wish I could play that as part of the playlist, just solo, without the crap of the battle things ruining my 150 note streak.

I'll have to give DragonForce a go, after the play through in the credits, since it's such a good tune and I can get further than the 40% of Raining Blood. Not sure I'm up to 5 stars yet, but I'm liking what I heard.

If you play on Xbox 360, and go on Xbox Live. You can download The Devil Went Down To Georgia, so you dont have to play against Lou, and it's a solo song. You get Morellos and Slash's aswell.
