I FCd Heir Kommt Alex tonight. I also almost had an FC of The Metal as well, but I got nervous and my fingers turned into worthess rubber nubs. I happened to be recording that run so I threw it up on Youtube. You can check it out if you find that kind of thing interesting.

It turns out that 7 starring Freya is not quite as easy as it sounds. Eh.. I guess I could learn how to hit solo 1.. lol

also, have you noticed anything odd about the 2nd chugging riff in HKA? i can usually do the first one just fine, but it always seems like the second one has a slightly different speed. Its a song that i reallly want to fc but i keep fucking up the 2nd chugging rift around the quadruple switches.

Really? I know I'm not probably not activating on the right notes, but I though I had the general path down for this one. Of course, I like to try and get my own paths so I'm often miles away from optimal.

I've never noticed anything different about it for sure, but that was the part of the song that I'd always fuck up on too. I always chalked it up to nervousness, but I did usually find myself falling behind so it's possible that it's a little quicker.

the optimal path i have fro mscore hero has the first activation a bit later, and an activation during the accoustic to maximize after the fact, i doubt your path would cost you more than 10k points.

thats the thing about it. i think i get nervous when i start falling behind because i realise there is no reason to do so. its not like the strumming is particularly fast, so fatigue doesnt really play into it. im just worreid that its fucking gimp as hell and has a different tempo. i really want an HKA FC, but fuck if i cant do either chugging riff, let alone the second one. maybe a kool thang fc is in order.

also, i have to say, your KHA FC inspired me to finally get prayer of the refugee. my number one weakness is transitioning from green - anything to yellow/orange, songs like nothing for me here with the green to yellow/orange switch in the chours eat me alive, i dont know what it is but i just cant do it. if its slow enough im ok, but prayer of the ref and the seeker force me to look down at the fret board as well as develop significant muscle memory in order to do even remotely well.

So I about pulled the old FC on Mauvais Garcon a week back. My fingers just caught up with one another after the break of the song. I was still proud to get over 410,000 points on it, though.

Yes you should get it.

If you're just starting out I'd get GH2. GH3 I've heard is quite hard for beginners as the leap from medium to hard is larger than that in GH2.

But it really doesn't make much difference which one you get since you have a 360.

I almost had Mauvais Garcon about a month ago, too. I overstrummed in the outro and got so pissed off that I haven't tried it since. Last night I was able to get FCs on Hit Me With Your Best Shot and School's Out. Neither of them are too hard, but for whatever reason they took me a while. I also almost had In the Belly of a Shark, but I fucked up in the ending.

I didn't find it too hard. I suppose the gap is quite big, I was half-way through the hard career when I five starred all songs on medium, and I went straight from easy to medium, and likewise, I've picked up expert pretty quickly.

But then again, I can't compare as I've never played more than one song at a time on GH2.

It really is a huge step up. Guitar Hero 1, I finished all of Expert, Guitar Hero 2, all of Hard, vast majority of expert, Guitar Hero 3, can't even beat Hard.

Oh man, that song is a bit tricky, especially that ending. To get that fast strumming just right while transistioning halfway through that part has a certain degree of difficulty to it.

It's like that added beginning solo to Holiday in Cambodia. If it weren't for that, that song would be under my FC accomplishments.

now that i've got 28 fc's, i'm not sure what songs to do next,i almost got same old schlong and dance, but that song is a bonafide combo breaker. who knows, i feel myself peaking again, and its frustrating as fuck.

Haha, just had a shot on Guitar Hero 1 to prove to my brother Bark at the Moon is actually possible to win, and lost on the last note. Literally the last note. I was gutted, especially since I used to be able to do it reasonably well.

i was working on same old and la grang eand i was doing pretty good on both, but failures made me shut off the game in anger. i was more angry than i was usually, and i was wondering what the difference is. but in all honesty, the fact that jerc is catching up to my fc count makes me want to play that much harder. It obviously cant be a rivalry seeing as he doesnt even know about me (harhar) but it is more so based on sheer competition. Perhaps that is why i dont care for gh2 or gh1 anymore, not that they are bad games, its just that no one is playing them, and there is therefore little to no competition. As great as darcness is, whats the point of playing when theres no oneto compete against?

jer, if you want my strum pattern for kool thing let me know, i developed a strat that makes kool thing about as hard as WYWY hah

i was implying that competition is much more fulfilling than being persoanlly happy. like when i beat that guy at dragonforce at my university, not only did i beat him, but i bettered my best score, its win win, for me at least XD

Actually, you're the only reason that I have as many FCs as I do. I'd probably just be hitting twenty if you hadn't reached that mark when I was only at fifteen. I have the exact same competetive mentality, I see someone ahead of me and I have to catch up. Too bad Rage is all up in Rock Band. I've almost caught up to him scorewise and can use someone to set the bar even higher.

Sure, I'm not above taking a little help. Plus, it's a song in the Score Hero leagues this week and anything that can potentially give me a leg up on the competition is worth my while.

the reason im offering a kool thing fc as well because it is such a pain. I love the song, but its such a pain that i wouldnt wish failure on my worst enemy, ill send you a pm. It may take you some practice, but when i figured it out, it took me about 6 tries to fc it.

Awwww man, that is brutal!

I hate that. I've had a couple almost FCs where I've fucked up near the end. I remember one time on Less Talk More Rokk, I fucked up the LAST note in the song. I almost broke my Guitar in half.

In other news, I bought the Rock Band package set, even though I already have the game....just because I wanted to drum. Not really sure if I enjoy drumming...the Guitar that comes with it is really strange though.

It feels so weird not hearing the clicking. Makes it awkward to play. And strumming fast, forget about it on that thing.

Maybe it just takes getting used to..?

FINALLY beat Tom Morello on expert. I was being a tit and saving the powerups till the end bit, when I could easily use them to finish him off early.

i had a -1 on la grange, missed the very last note in the solo d b-o trills, fc'd everything else. la grange is such a retarded song because its so easy for its entirety, it just really hinges on getting through the solo in one piece. apparently it doesnt count when you fc every section individually but never together :( haha. been watching too much death note as well =/
