so im renting guitar hero 3 currently and i just got to the 5th set without failing on hard. ive got like 2 mill***** total. not bad for having for 2 days total.

I just figured the only reason I was so good at GH3 was because the huge note window allowed me to be sloppy and still score high.

I had a shot on Guitar Hero 1 after only playing 3 for a month or so, and I've lost any skill I used to have. The controller is a bit fucked, so there's a technique to using it properly, you've got to know that some buttons don't work if you don't press them right, and the whammy bar only works at certain angles, and I was totally unable to do it.

Ever seen that bit in "Back to the Future" where Marty's picture starts fading when he's on stage, and he's unable to play? It was a bit like that, but instead of ceasing to exist, I only got 4 stars on Ziggy Stardust instead of 5.

The square notes make more sense to me now. They don't take up so much of the fret board, so timing is easy since notes never overlap.

The reason I do better at GH3 is simple though...
Gigantic timing window to hit notes lets me play really sloppy, and hammer ons can be held down and stil count.

I've been playing too much Rock Band lately to improve my GH3 scores. I don't even think I'm going to try to beat Sterockicy's t19k on Stricken...

I own guitar hero II and III.
I want rocks the 80's and guitar hero I.

I've beaten every song in both games on expert, about 10 or so left to 5 star.

Ah dammit, I STILL can't beat Lou. I could if I got lucky, but I easily get frustrated and quit. But sometimes I get messed up as well, then the track starts getting harder while I'm in red, frustrating as well. Oh well, I'll beat him someday.

I played some people at school today in PFO, even though it was on xbox which isnt my native system with 2 shitty explorers, i owned at Cities on Flame, smoked the guy, then i killed a guy at dragonforce, both by about 80000 points. good times

It does seem impossible, I beat it by a miracle though. Right when it gotto Mosh 1, I immediatly started strumming as fast as I could while mashing buttons. I was in red almost the entire song, but somehow I beat it.
