FC's never have been my goal in GH.

You can see by my stats, if you compare me to anyone around my skill level, they stomp me in the first 6 or 7 tiers, but rarely do I get beaten in tier 8 .

That's because once I hit almost all the notes on the easier songs, I stop caring about them. I don't want to play Bulls on Parade or Paint it Black 8 times in a row until I hit every note without making some stupid mistake. I don't really want to play the song at all.

So I focus on songs where I can improve by more than 2-3 notes.

Plus, I don't stand a chance of ranking very high on easy=-FC songs. I can't squeeze.
I can, however, be ranekd 20 on One (for a while anyway) because nobody can FC it, so squeezing is moot.

GAH, im so annoyed at GH3 now

i did my first real sitting on trying to beat TTFAF...beating the intro one-handed, failed at 2-3% a few times, then failed during the scales between the intro and the tremelos, THEN i got through the intro in the green, and failed at 83%...basically the last note before 'Here We Stand'....or the end of the solo

Heh, what can i say, i like seeing those gold stars. Also, once you get a good fc (i dont squeeze much either) you just drop it and move on. I fc'd paint it black yesterday, now i never have to play it again, or when i do play it, i can play it for kicks without having to worry about doing well. At the same time, it does prevent you from getting better at some of the harder songs, due to the amount of times you spend trying to FC little parts in easy songs, so its a bit of a double edged sword.

Oh dude NOOO!

You could have got a way better score for the ammount of notes your hit. My 509k run had me getting a 661 note streak, doing way shitter in the solo, not being X4 at the end of it and missed a few notes at the end bit. All you could conjure up was less that 1,000 more points. I really shouldn't be encouraging you to do better but I think you will find that if you save the second last star power that you used at 3:10 and instead use it at 3:21 you will get a way better score. Give it a shot, I reckon at least 520k!

ok....TTFAF is really starting to piss me off now, i can pass the intro all the time, but i ALWAYS fail at 83%...or the last possible note in the solo

i even failed there UNDER SP....
and i was on for a 350/400k run as well...but still no passes

bad thing is its the worst run ive ever had, scored even worse than when i played it in practice mode

only hit 6 SP phrases in the whole song, but came out of the solo in the high yellow/green...eh?

I didn't for the longest time. And I usually don't when I play online.
But when I learned to tap it, it was worth it. I can come out of the intro now with 100k pretty consistently.

i can pass the intro every time, i wanted to tap it, but i dont tap anything and my hands dont have any co-ordination when they are both fretting

I still havent beaten dragonforce, mainly because i dont practice, but it would seem to me that hacking your way through it is not the way to go. I tried to alt-strum and hit all the notes while getting greens and it never seemed to work all that well =/

Can't beat any of the final 4 songs on guitar hero 3 expert, One is super easy...till you get to the holyfuckinshit thats alot of hamerons 76% through the game, even save my SP for it and sitll get boned quickly!

the key to 3/4 of the songs is alt strumming. If you hold the first key on the one solo and just mash the other 2 buttons with sp while alt strumming you can get through with full rock. #otB you can either learn how to alt strum the entire thing or alt strum the easy parts then down strum the hard parts, should get you through ok. Alt strumming slowly while you do mosh1 and flail away should get you through, the same can be said for the giant trills on the flood, just trill as fast as you can while double strumming
then cliffs of dover is just skill and fun

just beat guitar hero on hard, and bought every guitar under the snaktepus. ive never really heard of scorehero ecore this forum, but um im not that good. cant really do anything on expert.

Corrupted my save. woops! back at square one i guess. I actually took this horribly, but a little bit of time venting helped, and the realisation that this game is not like an RPG where no matter how good you are the game still takes just as long to play, it shouldnt take me too long to get my scores back.

since i returned to gh2 I've:

232k Mother ( I could FC this. It's my current goal.)

Yeah i've tried that already, my mind cant comprehend doing the same thing like that for so long so i fuck up everytime.

And cliffs of dover is fun, but it's also fingered weird so that'll take me a bit to figure out.
