You see, most (not all) of the people who post those videos see Guitar Hero as a guitar. I've actually seen a comment on a GH video that says, "Wow u must b rly good at guitar if u cn ply this game." That is a big no. These people think that they are good at guitar, but they are only playing a videogame. It's hard to explain. Also, I don't see anyone posting videos of them playing Halo.

And trolls are not a good thing either.

I'm working my way through The Trooper, I combo'd a few full gallops, hoping to get that withing the next few days.
I'm almost to a 4star on Phychobilly Freakout :/
I'm hoping to get mah log by the 11th, when I move to my new house.

omg I totally want to play that too. People say its really hard on scorehero. But I'm positive I can do it in a couple tries. also, I'm about as good as priest so I want to upload videos. I wish I caught my Jordan score on camera. Fianlly broke 300k got around 310k. Woot. and broke my Six score. Around 335k now.

U should play the bonus tracks and beat all those. (except for Jordan if u can't) it will help. Thats how I got PhychoBilly Freakout.

Only like 5 songs are 4 star (Jordan, Gemini, PushPush is all I can remember off the top of my head.) Six is my only Bonus 3 star :(
I'm getting close to a 4 star in PF though.

And It seems I can pass Jordan 50% of the time now, I'm getting more fluent with solos since I have been playing 80's alot.

I should probably boot up the ol' customs up and play Demon Driver over and over for slides. I can slide down (Freebird) but not up.

I just have to get my act together on The Trooper to combo the gallops and the main riff and I should get my 5 star from that.

I took a break from PWM.

I'm trying the ever-hated Jordan on GH2 again. That still remains the only song I haven't beaten on expert yet. Six is the only other song that gives me any trouble on the game.

If I can finish Jordan, I can say that I've completely finished the game. Give me all the tips and pointers you have. Please God.

Just make the commitment to play it until you beat it. I probably played it a total of six or seven times before I decided I wanted to beat it and in some cases it was months between single attempts. It seems discouraging to repeatedly lose at the same spot, but if you have every other song beaten you most likely have enough skill to win on an especially lucky run. It only took me a handful of tries once I put my mind to it.

Practicing the craziest solos over and over in practice mode may be a better method, but I personally don't have the patience for it.

Also, new songs announced. As always, "as made famous by" indicates a cover.

Miss Murder (by AFI) ~ Kind of a "meh" song for me. I'm no fan of AFI but it could be fun.
3's and 7's (by Queens of the Stone Age) ~ Sounds like it'll be fun. Plus it sports a nice sized solo.
Raining Blood (by Slayer) ~ A nice varied song. I'll look forward to it.
Reptillia (by The Strokes) ~ It will be one of the earlier songs, but it should be fun.
Paranoid (as made famous by Black Sabbath) Can't go wrong with Sabbath.
Cities on Flame (as made famous by Blue Oyster Cult) ~ :) Nice to see them go with an early BOC song.

No, you misconstrued me. All these songs are going to be in GHIII. I just pointed out that Mississippi Queen was one of the big "gets" for Rock Band. Now it's going to be in both games. You can sleep easy knowing that you will get to play One.

I just recently discovered this thread and I have decided I would like to be part of it if thats ok.

My current position:

I have GH1, 2 and the new 80's game.

GH2 is by far my most played version and I am up to Instituationalised on Expert mode.

I would love to participate in this thread and give/get handy tips to help me furthur my progress.

Ooo man. Good luck with that one. Instituanationalized took me tons and tons of practice to beat. Its a tough one. And good luck with Misirlou (once you get it down its easy), Hangar 18, Free Bird, and of course, the most hated song, Jordan. I'm still on Free Bird and yeah, still have yet to beat Jordan. Thanks. I am going to need all the luck I can get. The first real hurdles I reached were "Laid to rest" and "Psychobilly Freakout" I kept failing "Laid to rest" at 98% complete and I was getting really pissed off. Then when I finally completed that it took another week or two to beat "Psychobilly Freakout" The first 30 percent of that song is majorly challenging. Once you get passed it thought its just a matter of saving SP until the last solo.

Beast and the Harlot was pretty easy and just when you get your hopes up you try the next song. It seems easy at the start and then POW you here that despressing sound of Fail.

I have the ps2 version so at least I have 8 less songs to complete :P

As for Jordan. Is it even possible to do the solo with one hand. I have seen some videos and all those who can play it bring there second hand up to play it. I cant even imagine being able to do that!

I cant seem to get passed the Encore song on the second list on 80's. Even when I use SP I fail at the first solo bit.

I was a little disappointed with 80's though. I was hoping for SOMETHING just something new and different. I am not a big fan of the songs either. There are a few ok ones but they all sound the same to me. I guess i'm just not an 80's (I was even born then, so that could explain it)

I've still not played enough GH2 to FS Monkey Wrench, but I did put my score at about 433,000 with a 969 note streak (so you can see I fucked up one note right near the very end....)

Look at his scores on the first game. An FC 100% on Texas Flood Expert. That song is impossible with the broken Hammer Ons and Pull Offs.
