Well I know it's a little rough graphically, but it's a general style that I like.

I just want to thank you all for your help (especially the people at php - main) even though I'm sure I'll have many more questions.

I figured i'd share my project with you all, I'm personally a little satisfied with this being my first website that I programmed, some things may be a little buggy that I havn't noticed, but I'd like some feedback if possible.

Wow, really cool site. The designs really nice.

I'm really glad our efforts with PHP: Main helped you. It makes me and I'm sure everyone else who contributes to PHP: Main very happy.

One day I'd actually like to contribute to Php: Main, but right now I'm still a n00b so I'll just practice... lol

As for affiliating, I'm working on an affiliate network (inspired by newgrounds) to trade links, and I plan to list the top 10 on the sidebar.

I'm not big into advertisements yet, so I think I'll just stick to google and hope that one day the site will pay for itself... lol

P.S: And to let you know, self-made forums are very easy, I don't see why people resort to phpBB

Your background image (the green strip) conflicts with the black colour of the main layout. That's my only real nitpick about the design, but it's something I believe you might want to address.

very nice, but for signing up, for the URL to image, don't make it have the default URL there. Instead, make it blank at first, then check if its blank or doesn't pass certain tests such as file type and existing file.. if it fails a test like that, then an error occured, if it's blank, then use default image. That way they can't screw with it.

It looks very nice =) People should stop naming their images banner* tho =/ My Adblock has something against it :(

Yeah i agree with that.
One another thing. Next to your login thing, theres a big black space.
I would put a banner or something there if i were you.
It looks a little empty how it is now.

For once i'd have to disagree with Jess, I think the grey w/ green bar makes the rest of the layout really pop it looks very nice. Great job can't see anywhere for improvement .

Thats one of the most cool layouts I saw on the world wide web...whoever helped you is a great man....My website sucked so im making a new layout but to not look at the ugly one I put a very fast flash website which I made like in 15 minutes...anyway in other words...your website is a lot better than mine and others put together

add this to your CSS:

}

it'll look better.

Awesome design.

Ideas:
1) preloader the roll over of your navigation
2) make sure all the letters are uppercased in the right side nav

I wouldn't go that far, but I appreciate the appraisal. Everything on the site was done by me, I just asked ALOT of questions to these forums and recieved very helpful responses in a short amount of time.

Speaking of which, if the PHP-Main guys ever got a tutorial site together I'd gladly affiliate to them, they seem to know their stuff.

Nice site, but I do have to agree with everyone with that horrific bright green background on the dark gray layout. It hurts my eyes. Also with your forums. It's nice to see people making their own, yet you didn't script a lot of necessary things. U should go to PHPBB and other forums and see some functions they have which you can use and add it to your forums.

And please change the green!

Well I like the green, but I'll try to make it more tolerable. As for the forums, my first step was to get it working, my next step is improving on features and general appearance. My problem with getting this done right now is my lack of time, I'm currently working long hours, but on my days off I plan on updating it more as well as working on Episode 2 of MeteorHigh.

Any forum feature suggestions would be nice as well.

Oh, and yeah, I just watched that episode you had on ur site, and it wasn't too bad. I enjoyed the voices more than anything. If you want i can advertize ur site on mine or vise-versa...

Suggestions for ur forums:

#1. I tried signing up, but the page it takes you to after you press the "sign up" is a blank page. I never received any email confirmation and my username/password wouldn't work.

#2. Have a function which shows how many people are online, their usernames and all the guests.

#3. (i cant be sure if you have this following function but...) make sure you record all ip addresses when the people sign up... trust me it is very important. You can block those idiots who go on your forums to spam.

#4. And then you could just add cool stuff in like making groups, have a mod system...

Those are just suggestions. There is still so much you could do, but your one person coding a forums.. so i give you tons of credit.
