I think that whie a lot of the topics are pretty juvenile and mostly aimed at males, It's not really an issue of sexism. Some boy with too much time on his hands can post a picture of a bikini-clad girl and get a bunch of other guys to agree that yes, she is indeed hot, then, invariably, comments start about other girls and what said users wish to do to said girls...As a girl, I do get annoyed sometimes. If I interject, I have a horrible feeling someone's going to ask me what I look like and to post my picture. And if I don't, no one's going to repsond to me and just keep on what they were at before... However, to get back to my pont, it isn't an issue of sexism--it's an issue of these guys being kind of immature. There are lots of guys who butt in and make really good points about the idiocy of these sorts of posts--and this at least gives me hope that NG BBS isn't completely misogynistic...If a 13 yr old wants to ogle a supermodel--I really don't care. It bothers me when ppl assume that if your profile says you're a girl, then you must really be a guy whose pretending. Or a lesbian. And, If you're a lesbian, there's bound to be comments--either having to do with male fantasy or the wrongness of homosexuality--but that seems to be an entirely different issue here... Anyway--back to my point..Girls do exist at NG..They're not all gay and well, not all of us appreciate objectification...But clearly, not all guys here think that...I don't care if these topics keep being posted. We should know what kind of ppl (and the things they'll write) will respond and useour own discretion.

Actually I run the Sig Rater's Crew, and the NG Supreme Court. I also help run the ARC, and until just a bit ago helped run the DOD as well. The same goes for the SSM before I quit. I think I am hardly jealous of the clubs she has.

Hey Wade, i say go for it. But still, this is a forum for anything and everything. Girls should be welcome to have the hottest guy thread on here. If guys can do, why can't girls. The only reason people think that NG's BBS is sexist is because there's too many damn 13, 14, 15 kids acting stupid. I say get the mods on it and fuck those tweens up. Hmm, I haven't actually seen that many "WHO ARE TEH MOST HOTZORZ?!!1" topics, but there are a good few. But I've never seen a topic judging men like that, which shows the female population of NG is maybe just a little limited, but probably more due to the fact that they are mostly mature and don't go through stupid phases like some moron male users. I think they think it might impress the ladies if they make topics like that, and comment rudely, which disgusts me most of the time.
But, I'm not sure, since I'm a guy, so it's not my place to comment too wildly.

I'd also like to add, that I don't think sexism will ever disappear in this world, just like racism.

It doesn't exactly welcome girls at first sight. When I first signed up, I was pretty upset with the behavior. But as time passed, it got less and less shocking. I feel like internet standards and real life standards of behavior are highly different. Especially in this field. The mantra "there aren't a lot of girls on the net," isn't that true, but it's truer and more specific than something like "african americans love chicken"

Lots of the people on here aren't that socially adept, and so dealing with the other sex makes for pretty interesting actions.
