I've made some games that I'd like to submit to Newgrounds, but the problem is they aren't in flash format. I made them with a program called Game Maker and converted them from .gm6 (game maker editable) format to .exe, and tried to convert the .exe to a .swf, but it didn't work. If anybody knows of a .exe to .swf converter that works on all .exe files (including game maker .exes), I would greatly appreciate it. The games are VERY good, especially Zombie Attack. I included a screenshot of Zombie Attack with this post.

I've already tried all those, I was looking for a converter that would work with game maker .exe files.

Well you can't convert .gm6 files to .swf files. If none of those converters work, you can't convert it.

There is no way. You have to make a Flash game with Flash, or something that saves as .swf, gamemaker doesn't. You can't convert jpeg to mp3, you can't convert exe to swf. :)

You can't upload your gamemaker games to Newgrounds, no way in hell I'm afraid since the programming is completely different.

If u know how to make web pages, it may be possible to make a simple webpage, and make an swf link to that page so pple can pay the game!

It is pretty cool. It's not too hard either. I made this awesome game once but it somehow went missing.
It would be awesome if you convert the games on it into an .swf but I doubt it.

It's great for beginners, and you can make some really awesome stuff with it.
A lot of people like to dis people who use it out because they think it's so easy, but it really is a good program that allows you to make some pretty cool games and apps.

You can't convert gamemaker games into .swf files, so your going to have to remake them in flash if you want to submit them to newgrounds.

It's awesome. I'm not that good with coding, so I just use drag and drop. Using game maker, I have created a game about Fronk(The little yellow dude from the wario ware inc. games) that just might score a 2.00 if I could put it on Newgrounds.
Maybe if I find a good picture of something, then I'll have a good sig.

I also made a few games in game maker, and wanted to convert them to flash to put them on here, maby if someone made a conversion dll to extract the code, convert it to .swf code, and remain editable with error alerts of code you will have to manually fix. Maby I will spend some time and try to do it with game maker, all I really need is the functions list of .swf code, it may verywell be easilly accessable but i don't have the $$$ to buy the swf 'game' maker app. Game maker lists every function in the help file so I allready have that, but anyone good at coding can be my guest and make the dll convert to swf 'game' . Maby even add different file formats to convert from.

I should check it out. I've already got Flash, and another EXE gamemaker (3d), but hey-ho, I might as well. Basically, EXEs are programs, so that could mean installers, games, applications, and tons more. SWFs are pretty much just games and movies.

My computer erased my great game from it's drive! It was based on mission impossible. You even went down the shaft avoiding lasers and stuff. It was quite fun even if it were just 2D :)

It is... possible. Are they actualy .exe files; you could hex edit it and find the actionscript equavilants - that way you would keep graphics and sounds and stuff. It would take ages though.

Back in the time, we didn't use Game Maker but Game Factory 32. If anyone remembers that... Have fun remembering it because it was the most awesome shit.

It's impossible, since swfs use actionscript format, and game maker uses rather manual format, just make flash games seriously...

Pretty sure you can't although I do know how to convert the gamemaker exes to java(of course this wont help you submit them on newgrounds but some sites take java games)

Actually, u can convert exe to swf, and swf to exe. It;s quite simple. Go to http://www.flashplayerpro.com and download the trial. Just save your exe somewhere, open flash player pro and find file. Then right click on file and click "SWF/EXE CONVERSION". start and then *poof* you've got a swf :p
And, just to infuriate some of you, i'm a 12 year old, who figured this out to play games at school ! :p

I made alot of gamemaker games too, and I wanted to submit them too Newgrounds. But Gamemaker and Flash use different actionscript or code, so that's why you can't convert the files.
You have to make the game again in Flash.

Actually that only lets you convert .swf to .exe not the other way around.
