Well I plan on launching a website and I am wondering what I need and how much it will cost me.
I would like someone to build a website like
JackSmack, and GamesReloaded
If you can give me a quick estimate on paying someone to make that kind of a site that will be great.
Also what people do you recommend to host my site. I have been told that Ixwebhost is good do you guy's recommend any other's?
Basically I need to know how much everything will cost me in the end so I can start gathering my money.
I hope I went about this in the right way :)

So you want someone to buidl you a site similar to those you mentioned ?
I could definatley do it :)
Pricing would be pretty cheap...
How much are you looking to spend and are there any features you need (mainly anything using PHP (forums etc))
Wanna see samples of my work, just ask.
For the host, id go with www.admhosting.net (as would most in this neck of the woods)

It depends! Those are 2 totally different websites. Games Reloaded will cost you a lot more money because there's a log in system and a submission system (which requires PHP and MySQL) and the other one looks like a basic website that the guy put together with all of his work on it (like a personal portfolio type of site), which won't cost a lot. It also depends on exactly what you want, how you want it and how long it'll take to build the site.
I recommend that you build a portfolio site with your work on it and that you actually do it yourself (you can learn html at http://www.w3schools.com). If you can't then it'll probably cost you about $10-50 (or maybe more depending on how fancy the site will be).
As for the webhosting, that host looks ok but I would go with http://www.admhosting.com.

Well I was just asking talking about the look but for the actually content it will be more towards gamesreloaded since I will host videos and flash movies in large quantity.
so i'm looking at how much more? Also will it be possible for someone to make it then give me like a step by step instructions so I can update it on my own how will that work?
I did a quick look at adm and it looks fine will I be able to switch to a bigger plan or is there like a contract?
And to Danny it is a bit to early for samples im just here now to know how much to save so in a couple of months I can go ahead with this of course if its only coast me 300$ or less (Canadian money) then I can go with it sooner...
Also does anyone know if I get ads on the site will that pay for my bandwidth and server domain?

It will definatley cost you less than $300.
If you just want a simple static HTML/CSS design, then i doubt it would cost $50.
Like i said, id be happy to do it =)

if you do start out your site, the ads won't pay for the site until you have a good site fanbase, for the first year or so, i would think you will be paying out of your own pocket, as until the site is popular, adverts wouldn't be very helpful for convering bandwidth and domain.
