1.Well, hes not my prez, Im from canada. I don't like him, though he isnt quite as bad as he is often made out to be. As for hu, Im not educated in chinese politics, so I can't form much of an opinion on him.

2.Corrupt mostly. "Everything begins and ends with gold"-soren, from fire emblem 9

3.Pure expliotive capitalism. But generally friendly nonetheless.

pardon me if I'm wrong, but dont you guys get like death squads if you discuss democracy politics online?

That pretty much sums up my opinion on your government -I saw a bbc documentary which interveiwed the relatives of peope who got disappeared in china for protesting and stuff.

As far as bush goes, I hate him and most of the UK does also(but mostly because blair is his bitch and like 70% of he UK didnt vote for blair), and from what I can tell, about half of america (ie the non-nationalists (liberals))

And I dont think we have a very good relationship because China is becoming the new world superpower, and we dont want to let go of the top spot, especially to a communist dictatorship. No-one says it in politics, but whenever people speculate about WW3 its china verus the US and europe

World war 3.

Some speculate that it could start with china invading taiwan, then the US going in to defend taiwan. I thinks its bullshit. Even if china were to go ahead with such an invasion, which is rather unlikely, the US ultimatly wouldent go to full out war over the small island.

Well, consiering that so many other countries in the area will be directly affected, not to mention it would have unpredictable affects on the world economy and geopoltik, its everyones buisness.

I agree, China is a superpower but The U.S.'s grasp on global ecomomy is pretty great, even if china does inveade a neighboring country america will most likely avoid a conflict. I doubt that few will be jostled by a chineese invasion other than the ones bieng invaded. In the U.S. a chineese invasion might get nothing but a 30 minute a day spot on national news channels.

I dislike Bush greatly. I don't have a large opinion of Jintao Hu though, to be honest.

2.What's your opinion about Chinese government ? (This can't be discussed in our country... )

I have no respect for oppressive states, although after learning the specifics about the North Korean human rights I must say my distaste for China's has decreased.

3.How do you think of the relationship between China and USA ?

It appears to have gotten better since the whole North Korea ordeal increased.

Thanks for your answers. :P

How exactly are you able to ask us these questions, if you are truely in China? And is this terribly illegal if so?

Um you're wrong.

The US has a signed oath with Taiwan to protect them with the full effort of the US, and in case you didn't know, the US has risked WW3 to fulfill its oaths to other nations, the US has never broken a military cooperation oath in its history. I'm sure people thought that the US wouldn't go to war over South Korea, South Vietnam, Kuwait and so forth... but the US did.

If China did attempt to invade Taiwan, which they aren't stupid enough to do, then they would have a total war with the US on their hands. And despite China's nukes, the US would still be victorious due to missile defense systems and the fact that the US military is superior in every aspect other than troop numbers (which means jack shit in modern war).

Because theres something called alliances. If the US was engaged in a large-scale war against China, China would have allies, and the US would have allies. The amount of nations on both sides would increase due to people having to pick sides for their own survival. Then it would end up affecting or involving nations in all populated regions of the world. Hense, it would be World War III.

China isn't a superpower, its a "major power" it has nowhere near true Superpower status, the US is the worlds only superpower by the strict definition. The US has unparalleled Military, Political, and economic power, many times more so than China therefore China is not a superpower.

But saying that a Chinese invasion would only cause "a 30 minute a day spot on national news channels" is ridiculous. It would be the ONLY headline on the news, especially considering that the US would CERTAINLY go to full-scale war with China if it attacked Taiwan.

Yay, Obama won. Let's thank his supporters:
-The compliant mainstream media for their pro-Obama propaganda.
-Black Panthers for their intimidation of voters.

Hi all.

1. Pres bush meant well (i sincerely hope) but got caught in a lose/lose situation that has only one answer: wait it out. I liked him at first but now am ambivilent; love him or hate him he's gone in a year.
2. the chinese government is the most successful communist government the world has ever known. i have to give them their dues for that; healthy economy, strong culture, mostly non-aggressive stance towards the west, 1 bil strong and growing.
3. US-Chinese relations are strong as they can be right now. We support each other economically, we dont vie for the same resources (directly), and we both support many common goals. we may not agree on what human rights mean but otherthan that we're ok for now.

now to say something about worldwar 3. first china has the worlds largest standing army, period. we have the worlds most technological army, period.
the first question any general asks his superior about warfare is: were. were is the fighting going to take place? that is china's main concern in the event of a war between us and them. china would need to mobilize their army/navy/airforce while our forces are already pre-staged around them in japan, south korea, alaska, and guam. so the fighting on the ground would most likely take place on chinese soil. none to appatizing for any nation.
but i don't think ww3 would take place between china and the us. if it were to take place between 2 super powers , id guess at china and india. both have 1 bil+ population, both vie to be the dominant nation in asia, and both compete over the same resources, and both are nuclear powers. only a mountain range seperates them. in the past that was enough - but in the 21st century, well, not so much.
that leads to the next question, the question as to who the USA would support: honestly i couldnt tell you . maybe someone else on this thread can, but for me that issue is to grey to make a distinction

I don't know that much about Jintao Hu, so i can't really say something about that man.

Well, myself i think the Chinese covers up things to much, and i think that it's bad that they don't let you have the freedom of speech.

3.How do you think of the relationship between China and USA ?

I don't know how the relationship is, but it can happen that the US and China may come in a conflict, just thinking of the Cold War, and the "War on Terror" (fucking hypocrites).

1. President Bush: is a bad president, not for the war in Iraq orAfganistan, but for allowing jobs to go to other countries, causing unemployment, and for not closing the borders

Hu Jintao, I grew up in the Deng Xao ping-Jaing Ja Min era-John Major-Jean Critien-Clinton, era of the world. So I have no opinions of Jintao yet, however, I believe him to be more of a modderate like Xiao Ping ordered the Tianmen Crack down, Jaing ordered the crack down on Chinese Christians and the Fa Lun gong (despite them being a crazy cult). Jintao seems to be more of a business person.

I'm Canadian not American, so Canada and China are trying to open negotiations. China should do a bit more business with Canada, as we have a huge oil reserve.

My thoughts on China you ask? I am Chinese, and I love it. Infact I'm going to learn Chinese, save lots of money here, and move to China. I hear they're starting to open up some frontiers. However, we do need to have better enviromental controls.

2. My thoughts on the Chinese government. My family was a supporter of the Chinese republic before communism. But I think that the communists since Deng has greatly improved the economy. control is good, like if there wasn't control over China's 6 billion people there would be lots of really scary shit going on. But things have improved since Peng's day. China is trying to make amends. Like they did build new stuff in Tibet, and allow for religion in china such as Christianity, in many of the bigger cities. Like in Singapore strong government countrol made it prosper. It focuses the energies of the population on specific goals. unfortunatly, it's painful. That's the draw back. so for the Chinese it's a mixed blessings. Just be glad that you don't live in the Mao era, where you could be shot for reading this stuff.

1.What do you think about your president BUSH and our chairman Jintao Hu ?

I don't know much about Jintao Hu. I can tell you Bush is not my president. I am American but I did not vote for him and the majority of Americans did not vote for him when he and Al Gore were running for president. Al Gore should have been president by all means. I think Bush is a power-hungry president. He tries to fix things but does not approach them correctly. An example of this would be the social security retirement fund.

Also, we are at war with Iraq for no reason. There was no real reason for the United States to go. Bush and his partners convinced people Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destruction but nothing was ever found, and even CIA and white house officials confirmed there were never any real weapons of mass destruction. Even the former general Collin Powell confirmed it.

2.What's your opinion about Chinese government ? (This can't be discussed in our country... ) I think your government does what it needs to do to get things done, even if it is not in the most-humane ways such as restricting how many children you can have. Your government has grown and prospered over the last decade mainly because of the United States' help. I don't agree with many of China's policies on not allowing you to have freedom of speech and choice though. Those are rights that exist in every living being. Even wild animals have freedom of choice.
3.How do you think of the relationship between China and USA ?

I think it is ok now. It was horrible back during the U.S.S.R. collapse with Americans hating everything that was communist, but I think it certainly has improved and I am hoping it will improve further with the North Korean situation. I really hope China, Japan and South Korea can take responsible action.

Thanks for your answers. :P
