I've liked clay animations for a pretty long time, and now i want to make one myself.

Now is the problem that i dont have any idea how to make one, could someone please tell me what tools/programs i use to make one? I would be happy if someone could give me some kind of guide too.

Well, i used to make a few claymations, they sucked, but they were fun to make.

The things you have to have are a camera, webcam, digital cam, whatever, and you need flash.

Then you make your model, you could use lego, plastesine, clay whatever, and then you position it, and take a photogrpah of it, and then move it a bit, and take another photo, and repeat this process, then import all your images, and play the file, and you should see it move, and come to life.

That is the basic stuff you need.

If you want more help, you could contact me.

For the program you should use that is good for beginners is ImageStudio its free but you need a logitech webcam to use it.

there is also a program called Anasazi but I don't recommend it imagestudio is a lot better there is also monkeyjam but that to is kind of bad.

SMA

that is an excellent site to get to know everything and you should take a quick glance at this tutorial on newgrounds it is a bit out of date but still it is pretty good to learn the basics.

Quick StopMotion Tutorial
