The built-in ad/spy-ware feature in Netscape is really useful. Catches most of them, and it actually removes them for you. None of that "Free scan... Opps you have to pay so we can remove it" crap.

Ad-aware is good, but download the google taskbar (that gets rid of pop-ups) :D

I use all of the above plus the Yahoo anti- spy which comes with the toolbar.

I like these because they're effective and they're freebies.

firefox does not protect you from spyware by simply being itself you have to use your own protection. i once knew a spy sheriff who killed spies but it turned out he was one himself.

WTF then that article in that magazine lied to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats the reason i got it! Still stopped it though, or at least it didnt get to FireFox. And i found that Fire Fox is faster then Internet Explorer or it seems like that unlike those damn myths say

So? I've been using Firefox for almost 3 years and its faster, more efficient, blocks popups and alot of spyware caused by those popups. I know from my own personal experience that it helps. I'm not going to go believe some random sources over my own personal experience.

First of all, using firefox would be good, and in PC magazine the best Spyware Program tested was Spyware Doctor, though adaware works good for me. And rumor has it that spybot search and destroy comes with spyware itself ^^
