It's the greatest cartoon on this damn site.

I offered to put together a demo reel of Zekey's best cartoons so that it would be easier for him to find a job in animation or design. I started very early Sunday morning, and I have been working obessively on it. I converted his flash works to AVI format, but for most of them I muted the cartoon and put the original mp3 over it so that the audio compression wouldn't be present in the final version (although this whole process has reduced the video quality).

I converted -MASS- to AVI format with its audio at a higher bitrate, and since I have been utterly addicted to this cartoon. I don't know how many times I've watched it now because I lost count a while ago.

For those who don't know what -MASS- is, it's a cartoon submitted on F-Day 2 that is still the most powerful anti-foamy (and generally anti-overrated) cartoon in existance. This cartoon won Zekey a writing tablet in a UCFD contest that was running (actually, rtil won the tablet, but we rearranged the prizes because he already had one).

The movie is currently ranked #68 for score, but I do believe that it is heavily underexposed (ranked #7080 for popularity. Quite a difference). The cartoon is available here:

I put the high-audio version on Youtube, but the version posted there is glitchy. You can hear the audio pop and at the end it goes back to the loading screen. But regardless, it's available here:

Oh yes, it's quite a great animation. I believe I left a review for that as well.

It's a great message about corporate greed and such, even looking past the obvious anti-foamy message.

Bumped for truth. This was the cartoon that earned the good reptile my favourite author spot. Of course, I knew very little about Foamy and how over-rated he was at the time, or that this was part of a competition, I just liked the dark nature of the flash, and the animation style itself.

For real? Christ, irony's a bitch. Incidentally, do you have a link to some of these, or was there a collection of some sort made for them? I'd like to see rtil's entry, and compare those two against those that won.

Wow, that IS a travesty. I like Ultimate Showdown a lot (though it's overrated in my opinion) and I haven't watched the others, but 8-Bit Theater........I like the webcomic, but the flashes just kinda kill it, really. And they're HARDLY worth anything NEAR the scores they have. Let alone a monthly prize, that's just disgusting. PF2, -MASS-, or preferably both should've been on the top 5 list.
