i would gladly sign up for a pay account to support NG and i know many others would too. i mean i paid to register gamespy and you get almost nothing for that. i just think its a good service and want to help out. i would do more for newgrounds because this is by far the coolest online community i have ever had the good fortune of being a part of. you guys all rock expecially the fulps for giving us this killer place to hang. NEWGROUNDS FOREVER!

Actually, the days of getting paid per click are practically gone. We only get paid by the adult sites if users sign up. Sometimes it is a free sign-up, sometimes not. It's a tough market out there, eh? :)

Troma controlled the hosting as well as the top banner space (which included pop-up code)... So all of the pop-ups coming through were on their end. Unfortunately, they got screwed by a lot of the ad companies. Getting screwed is VERY COMMON on the internet... I wonder what the equation is - you get to keep 20% of the revenue you supposedly generate, perhaps? :)

Any pop-ups from now on will be directly from us, and we don't intend to allow third party advertisers to run their own third-party pop-ups, which is where things really got out of control. By keeping a few well-controlled campaigns, we think it will work out the best for everyone - because you will know we are benefitting from the pop-ups you see.

What is the best way to support NG? As in, what do you see the most money from? Adult site signups? Buying NG t-shirts? Stickers? Wuh?

yeah, coca cola is horrible lets stick with the nude amatuer girls(if you have a half a brain you know im being sarcastic but if you don't i am).

The sad thing is, Coca Cola does a lot more harm to the world than pornography ever could. Mass-marketing has created a society where people can't make it through the day without having at least one soda, as diabetes and other diseases related to poor diet blow through the roof... Meanwhile, people are up in arms over some naked girls on a website. Our priorities are just fucked in general.

Could a list of what we can do be brought up?
Y'know with like : This will give us ... But this would give more.
Not necessarily the accurate numbers, since some would whine that you make too much over your shirts or whatever.

Anyway, a list would make it easier and could direct the flow in one direction, why subscribe for something if you practilly get nothing while we could buy something that gives you more?

I "need"/want soda because I like the taste and sensation from drinking a carbonated beverage

I dont think its due to their advertising
in fact I mute or change the channel whenever a coke commercial comes on because they are just so friggin annoying with dumb songs

What to worry about with soda is what they use it for and whats in it - its not good for you in general. they use Coca Cola to clean engines, windows, it sticks to your insides, clean battery terminals overall its not good for you........

yes, delete my post despite it's obvious witticism and intent.

The fact remains NG is without outside support (TROMA). Therefore we as the audience must support NG financially and the only viable way to do that is through paid membership or NG would have to find another sponsor(s)(like what flashkit does). There is little alterntive since donations never work. IF NG does implement a paid membership it would alienate much of the artists who are probably under 18. It's a difficult matter.

I still think he should get more major companies even if it means that ultra annoying Coke ad coming back.

I know that if NG became a pay site.. I would join up. I think the best thing to do, is follow 1wrestling.com's example.. Have a site with banner ads, and popup ads. And if people don't wanna deal with them, they can join the premium part of the site for a fee... Be it monthly, or even yearly... And they don't have to look at banner ads or popups. It really helped 1wrestling out, as there haven't been many problems since they started doing this. It could probably work for NG too.
