Okay,

I have DSL highspeed internet.

My modem used to be in my basement plugged into the phone jack using a filter/splitter so we could have both the Phone and Modem plugged into the single jack.

I recently moved my modem from the basement into my room upstairs.

I too have a single phone jack in my room, so I need the filter/splitter in here aswell.

The problem is that even though it is set up the exact same way in my room, it is still not working with the splitter!

I am online now because I have the modem plugged in directly to the phone jack -- which means my phone up here is not connected. If I insert a phone jack splitter, and plug both the phone and my modem in, the phone works but my modem does not connect.

If you understand what I am saying and think you can help me, PLEASE let me know!!

Thanks,
- Patchco

I had a similar problem I think. Well, I think that fixed it for me, might've been something else, my memory sucks =(

Usualy phone sockets are wired with a priority, the orginal jacket you used must have been the one with the highest priority.
You need splitters on all used sockets that are lower then or equal to the priority of the socket you use for the mode.
Either get more spliters/filters or move the modem back.

Move on to ActionScript 3! And please, drop the mysql PHP extension, it's so stale that it lacks features that is no longer considered new! Go mysqli or pdo instead.
