Lol. I look at hentai for a variety of reasons. :P
1. Because being a girl who can say she likes hentai is a real conversation starter (or stopper, if I so choose >=3)
2. Because unlike America, where the majority opinion is that all animation is for kids and can never be for adults, the Japanese have animation and manga for all genres, for all ages, and for all interests. Grow up and think outside your own country.
3. Not all hentai is porn just for the sake of porn. The hentai I watch, for example, is nothing more than sexual comedy. :) Most of it is softcore at best, and since sex is so funny to begin with, it doesn't take much to make it hilarious. ;) Read some bondage faries and tell me it doesn't make you laugh.
4. Because the men in pornos are idiots. >=( And so are the women. I don't have a lot of interest in watching two people pretend to be in orgasmic extasy when either one or both of them is faking it half the time. At least with hentai they can draw it to make the expressions more believable. The only downside at that point is the voice acting.
5. And finally, I like watching hentai because it teaches me how to call a guy a douchebag in Japanese. So stfu douchebags, and leave my interests alone. :P You don't like hentai, no one's forcing you to watch it. If you want to get after somebody, why don't you harp on people who get off on watching little kiddie porn, or porn involving barnyard animals? Now that crap's really messed up!
