Chat banned, for logging in?...

I dont know where to post for this, but i just logged in the chat, first time, and it banned me for spamming just when i logged in. I hadn't typed anything! I pressed prntscrn on my keyboard but i dunno where the screenshots go (never taken one before). It said it banned me for spamming, when all i did was log in, and ban number or ban on 2006/11/29. Its not even november yet... is there a glitch or something?

Exact same thing happened to me when I first used it.

I'm not on aol, im on internet explorer (canadian.. dont use aol). It said the reason was spamming, but all i did was log in.

that's a little creepy... you could try appealing it.

After you take a screenshot, open up word or notepad and paste the screenshot. save it and attatch it to an e-mail to the admins and explain that it was your first log in.

it's not you, it's an akick. it kicks and bans anyone from that address. why? because someone that uses the same internet service as you spammed to high heaven.

It's true it said I was spamming, but I wasn't spamming, then I got banned for 11 hours, I think.

You may have attempted to login under a name that someone else had got banned...?

Best bet is to email or PM EveningShift or DrLavaGoddess (see the BBS Mods list) with as many details as possible, they should be able to sort it out.

Ok well i'll leave this thread as a bit of evidence, as soon as i find that screenshot. This is the first time i have used the chat. But in my area, its either bell or rogers for internet. So it wouldnt surprise me that out of 40-50k people , someone would have been a dick on the chats, thanks everyone i'll try and appeal it.

How to take a screenshot

1) Press the "PrintScreen" button
2) Open Paint
3) Hold Ctrl and press "V"
4) Cut out what you don't want or need
5) Save, and make sure you save as a .JPG or something like that. Bitmaps are way too big.
